Absolutely lovely, Nichola was brilliant, we got a free upgrade as I suffer with mobility to a suite with a bath. Beautiful, spotless and luxurious, She could not have been more accomadating. Thanks so much. Definitely be back. Kindest regards Deb Montgomery

Our third visit in almost twelve months. Definitely the last. The previous two we also waited an age for food, despite one occasion being a mid afternoon weekday and fairly empty. This time we waited 45 minutes for soup. Accompanying thick dry bread arrived without butter, and clearly previously frozen and hadn’t quite thawed (possibly been taken out when ordered to defrost at room temperature. Maybe that’s why it took so long?) The beer garden over the road was full of people drinking only, and pub/restaurant and exterior was about three quarters full, with around half not eating/drinking only. We asked twice for our mains. It was over 45 minutes after the starter. So over and hour and a half from ordering until we received mains. The burger was same as last time. Dry as a bone with congealed cheese. Sat under heat lamp? And burger bun same as the bread with the soup. Cold chill inside like had been frozen. Shame as lovely old building which they evidently invested in. It wasn’t third time lucky and decently won’t be visiting again. We actually only went this third time as they have the niche of a Sunday as most places finish servicing 4.30pm, this serves food until 7.45pm.

My husband and I visited the Cheshire Cat today for lunch..It’s a fabulous old building with a very pleasant atmosphere..The food was lovely and the staff Nichola and Steph were very friendly and helpful..We will definitely return in the future.

Lovely lunch with friends at the Cheshire Cat. It was fairly quiet but the atmosphere was good. The waiting on staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The service was second to none by Nicola and Steph. Definitely go there again. Thank you.

Had a lovely breakfast...Full English! Carmen was great and opened up a little earlier for us...nothing was a problem & a very 'can do' attitude all round. Thoroughly recommend 👌 Venue was spotless and just an all round great experience!

Typical good English hospitality, lovely comfortable room, bed very comfortable, breakfast was delicious and served by lovely lady call Elaine, will definitely return, and recommend , nice village xxx

We stayed last night as had a wedding in town. Very clean friendly quirky building. Nice rooms clean got tea coffee in the room. Good comfy bed the breakfast was excellent. We went to the bar for drinks before bed lovely atmosphere nice environment. The only reason for the 4 was our room was right over the bar so it was a bit noisey I needed earplugs to sleep but I had thought it was probable when I saw they have a disco at the weekend so I took some with me. For the price would recommend this place to stay

Booked as the actual hotel was cat themed and looked quirky and historically interesting building. However, we stayed in adjacent property, which comprised many apartments. This was tired, in need of maintenance and decoration, and an update. Carpets were stained and blinds dusty and dirty, and a general feeling of neglect and shabbyness about it felt like student accommodation. We feel at £115 it was not worth it, more like £50.

Fantastic evening meal for family birthday celebrations. We were a large table and the service was brilliant and food delicious. All our food arrived at the same time and piping hot which for a table of 18 is no mean feat! Can’t wait to return.
