Hotel charge 40.00 per person per night extra then what I pre paid plus I called hotel due to emergency and told desk lady about that and she said ok up on check in manager said she has to talk to above her and next day she said we can’t do anything since it was pre paid. Also room has dent on the wall and bed frame is broken front door lock has plate missing

The hotel was easy to check in and walking distance to so many spots.

The Holiday Inn Express is perfect for people who want a clean and comfortable accommodation without staying at an "all-inclusive" resort. The Bahamian culture and the Nassau area are so beautiful, and it would be a shame to lock yourself into a sealed resort where you don't really interact with locals. Service here was fantastic -- my air conditioner was misbehaving a bit on the first day, and I asked someone to come take a look, and instead they upgraded me to a larger room to make sure they had time to look at the a/c and that I didn't spend a moment being uncomfortable, which was above and beyond my expectations. They have a really tasty hot breakfast, and their snack selection, available 24 hours a day to be picked up at reception and billed to your room, is broad and includes even full microwave meals (for when you're hungry at 3am on an island with very to no overnight food places available). The prices are very, very reasonable, as well -- after snacking pretty consistently throughout my seven-day stay, I expected my snack and beer bill to get a little crazy, but it turned out to be about $20 after I ate and drank well over $20 worth of stuff. It's easy to walk to downtown and shop, book tours, etc. from here, and the beach is right across the street. The Fish Fry at Arawak Cay is a 5-10 minute walk away as well. Most of what I wanted to see and do was an easy commute on foot, and cabs to and from the hotel were reasonably priced, when I was way too tired. Plus, the #10 city bus runs right past it. I would definitely recommend this place to travelers who are pretty independent in a new location, but also like comfort and great service. It was the perfect balance for me.

It was in a pretty good area along the tourist *****. In walking distance to local food and tourist food. The noise came from the hallway being completely open. Wind, car noises and local people noises flew down the hallway and into our room. My wife woke up constantly throughout the night because of this. Staff were super friendly and resolved all of the small problems the room had when we arrived.

Clean and basic The hotel is in a good location for walking to places and it has beach access across the street. The beds and rooms are clean, and for the area, it’s reasonably priced. They also hold your luggage after check out for no additional charge. Rooms have a microwave, fridge, safe, and complimentary coffee and tea. But, for my money, I am looking for basic amenities and courtesy and this hotel is sadly lacking. Staff at the desk are courteous, but the rest of the staff are not. They are loud and noisy in the morning way before 7 am making sleeping in after a long flight impossible; hallways are not carpeted, so sound echoes a lot. The hotel is a bit run down and they don’t have adequate hot water. After 4-5 minutes, our shower went cold. There is not enough seating in the breakfast area. Chairs are a commodity. There is food variety like French toast, real scrambled eggs, I know as I had shells in mine, sausage , bacon, baked beans, yogurt, bread choices, cereal, coffee and juices. However, many labeled food items had other food inside or the item was not there. For example, open the breakfast potatoes tray and the dish was empty— not being served that day. The food was ice cold. As one of trays was not working at all, and the other tray was barely keeping the eggs and sausage warm. They were cold after reaching our table. Do not stay at this property as the noise is overwhelming. It is very close to a busy road and the trucks can be heard crashing up and down the street early in the morning. Coupled with this, the property has no exterior doors at the end of each hallway. Therefore the afore mentioned noise just cascades down the hallway. Not to mention the beach bars across the road that blast music as well. Give yourself a rest and stay elsewhere

The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was amazing, but it's an older hotel and not the cleanest.

Old hotel, not maintained, Water leaks all over, especially in the Bathroom, furnitures damaged. Holder for Toiletpaper was not fixed. Noisy. A/C need to be replace, really loud.

Staff were fantastic. Rooms and common areas were clean. It’s on a busy street so it was loud throughout the night. Excellent breakfast. However, no other food/meal options (other than high priced snacks) throughout the day and evening. My room smelled very strongly of chlorine from the pool.
