Our kids had a great time and made some wonderful memories. The POKO POKO area was a fantastic facility that the whole family enjoyed. If I had one suggestion, a private onsen room for families would have made the experience even better. Exploring the grounds was exciting for the kids, and they loved finding all sorts of insects like stag beetles, rhinoceros beetles, praying mantises, longhorn beetles, and frogs. Since Risonare has a lot of families, no one minded when the kids got a little noisy. We had a fun two days.

There's a shuttle bus outside Nasu Station; remember to book in advance. It's a villa-style hotel, and overall it's good.

We visited as an elderly couple in 2023, and had always wanted to bring our grandchildren, and in January 2025 our dream came true. We stayed for two nights, but wish we could have spent more time. Monkeys came, and although the staff chased them away, we were surprised to see them right in front of us. Our grandson is only two years old, but the customer service was excellent and there were no problems at all. He had plenty of fun! We booked a room with flowing water right in front of it, just like the one we had at Niki Club. It's about a three-minute walk to the dining area, but it wasn't a problem at all. It's simply the best! Top class! The hot springs are great, and the open-air bath makes you feel as if you're one with nature. Meals are served buffet style. We'll visit again.

We stayed for one night as a family of three, including our 3-year-old. We arrived much earlier than check-in, but after receiving a brief introduction to the facility at reception, we decided to let our child play at a facility called Pokopoko while we waited for check-in. While it's not a large facility, it does have a ball pool, which our child really enjoyed. There's also a cafe where you can enjoy alcohol and tea for an additional fee. As the ball pool became crowded, some children started playing wildly, which created some dangerous moments, so we moved to the picture book area and read books with our child. The vegetable-themed picture books were sure to appeal to the child's inner child, and he enjoyed reading them. There was also a diaper changing area, so we felt safe and secure. We checked in and moved to our room. There were slippers, but there were a few long hairs tangled in them. I wonder if they were washed and not disposable? The room was clean, but since it's not a very new hotel, there was some mold in places. Given the location and the high humidity, this may be unavoidable. I'm a bit picky, but the paintings in the room were angled, and because the toilet and mirror were facing each other, the back of the toilet was reflected in the mirror, causing some discoloration. Because it's a star resort, I was a bit critical... It rained on the day we stayed, but umbrellas were placed throughout the facility, so we used the hotel's umbrella instead of our own. They also had children's raincoats, umbrellas, and rain boots. Dinner was a buffet, but the vegetable cheese fondue and main course (pork on this day) were set, and everyone helped themselves to the rest. You could have refills of the cheese fondue and main course if you asked. The dishes were generally heavy on vegetables, and although there weren't many options, they were all delicious. The dishes were vibrant and exciting to look at. My child also ate a lot of vegetables. My husband and child had mentioned it was their birthday when we checked in, so they offered free ice cream. My child's eyes lit up as he devoured it. He seemed happy when the attendant helped him put on a raincoat on his way out, and he kept saying, "The lady helped me put on that raincoat." The bath was very clean and comfortable. The large public bath and changing rooms were not large, but there weren't many people there, so it wasn't a problem. There were three hairdryers, all of which were Refa. (The hairdryers in the rooms were also Refa.) Breakfast was a buffet. There were lots of vegetables, and the rice seemed to be harvested on-site, so it was very delicious. There was a wide variety of bread, and the kids ate a lot of it. The milk in the small bottles was very tasty. We drank herbal tea that we blended ourselves on-site, made bookmarks, made pizza, ate marshmallows, and walked around the area, so we were never bored and were very satisfied. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
