YU-FURI NASU-TAKAO ONSEN LODGE

The front desk staff were very kind and explained everything thoroughly. As the name suggests, it was a 'hands-off' inn. We didn't encounter any staff outside of the front desk. The facilities were well-equipped and comprehensive.

All the staff were wonderful and very kind. It wasn't the kind of heartless service you often find; I felt genuine warmth. The building was bright, very clean, and well-maintained. I was with my two-year-old, and although it was a Japanese-style room, the lack of shoji screens made it a comfortable and relaxing space. The hot spring water was incredibly soothing, truly relieving my daily fatigue. The adjacent game center, table tennis, eat-in area, and relaxation area were also great, with massage chairs and Yogibo beanbag chairs. It was clean, and my child seemed to enjoy themselves freely. Having two elevators was also a plus. Even without makeup in the morning, I didn't mind using the elevator closest to the bath. There were also games like Jenga and treats like grilled mitarashi buns, which were great services and inexpensive treats. Furthermore, the outdoor "Sky Bath" where you wear a swimsuit was very modern, and I took lots of great photos. I was also happy to see the toothbrush and yukata amenities, and the bath itself had shampoo and conditioner. I definitely want to come back again.

The hotel features authentic sulfur hot springs and beautiful scenery. Dinner and breakfast are purchased using hotel coupons. Since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, all food must be heated in the microwave. If you're staying there, consider buying your own food before bringing it to the hotel. We bought some sashimi and ate in our room. The hotel coupons can be used to purchase any food and drinks.

The scenery was beautiful, but the road leading there was only one lane, which was very scary. Also, when we arrived around the evening of July 5th, it was raining and foggy, and there were very few streetlights, so it was really frightening. The next day, when we checked out and went outside, the fog was still thick, even at 8:00 AM. The hotel staff were very nice, but getting there was a real challenge.

The hotel has no kitchen, only microwaves, no dinner or breakfast available, only light food vending machines, making it extremely suitable for families who don’t want to eat too full or prefer to eat out for dinner.

We brought our own food. The hot spring pool was open and very enjoyable. The facilities are old, but the baths are newly built, spacious, and modern. The autumn leaves in front of the lodge were spectacular.

The front desk was polite, kind, and helpful, and the facilities were excellent. It was an absolutely great inn. The hot spring was also excellent, and I could see the stars from the open-air bath. I will definitely return.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip. I didn't have time to take a bath in the hot spring, but it's nice to have one. However, even though there was a bath in the room, there was no hair dryer. I've stayed in many hotels around the country, and this was the first time I'd seen one like this, which surprised me. I used the hair dryer in the public bath, but since I took a bath in my room in the middle of the night, I couldn't dry my hair that night. (Since the public bath is open at certain times) I think it would be better if a hair dryer was provided.
