The amenities and service were not as promised and were far below the expected standard.
When we arrived, there were just 1 bath towel, no shampoo, and no body wash provided. In addition, although our reservation was for four guests, only two bottles of water were available. This was extremely surprising, especially because we had informed the host well in advance that we would be arriving very late after landing at Colombo Airport.
Without even the most basic amenities, we needed to go to a supermarket at around 1:00 AM to buy essentials, as the caregiver could not come until the following morning. After a long and tiring journey, this was the last thing we expected.
To be fair, the owner was very responsive and communicated with us promptly. However, because he was in another country, he was unable to resolve the issues immediately. Also, the place was very nice but the amenities and service were not as promised and far below the standard.
For future guests, I would strongly recommend either avoiding this property or, at the very least, confirming with the owner beforehand that the caregiver has actually prepared all the basic amenities before your arrival. Otherwise, you may end up having the same disappointing experience after a long flight or a tiring day of travel.
I included the photos to show that the basic amenities such as bath towels, shampoo and body wash were not provided upon arrival.
