For me it is a 5* accommodation. Very good food, very lovely staff, clean. Very good location. It was wonderful experiens to go to the hotel on boat. It is something special and available in 24h. The rooms facing to the ocean. This hotel is perfect for me. Next time i will choose it again! 😍

Large resort. Ocean beach was smal, but ok and very flat. Boating was possible. On the first day the pool was “milky” – we decided to not trust the water. Nice sundowner terrace. The Food was good and the service friendly. Seemed to be a base for daytrips - it was quite empty over the day.

Wall to wall drunks mainly East European. They roamed the place without security present. A genuinely frightening experience. The place has seen better days and abandoned any eco-credentials it may once have had. If I hadn’t been woken by a screaming Russian woman banging on my door in the middle of the night it might have been 2 stars.

Pros 1. A very beautiful and awesome island like hotel where we have to reach there on a ferry. 2. Awesome food, a great sperad of foods which suit to foreigners and local dishes were also there. 3. We had a variety of good, nutritious, healthy foods to feed our 9 M old baby. 4. Extream privacy in the cabbanas. 5. Staff is good and helpfull. 6. Space is maximum many outdoor activities can be done 7. You can experience the river as well as the sea. Cons 1. You have to wait till the ferry comes to go to hotel premises and your parking space vise versa which will take time.(But this will be much interesting for foreigner) This is our 2 nd stay at this resort and we could have a baby cot for our baby as well. One of the wonderfull and awesome stays at waikkal.

The rooms here are lovely. Large and clean and ours overlooked the sea which was nice. The pool area is nice and the restaurant has a lot of choice for all meals. There is an upstairs but not sure what it is used for but while sitting by the pool one of the window panes fell out spontaneously. Hardly any notice was given to this and when you looked others had fallen out too. Think some renovations are required. Its ok to stay as a stop over from airport to next destination

Great beach hotel located with 30 - 45 minutes drive from Colombo airport. Beach, river and mangrove environment. Nice ambiance and very good place to relaxation. Staff, rooms and foods are very good. Management is excellent, friendly and helpful

It's a very good & wonderfull experience at Ranweli Holiday Village. We went there to celebrate my sister's & my father's Birthdays. Specially Mrs.Sanjeewani( Reservation Manager) service is execelent

We had a wonderfull 2 weeks of holiday as family. Every member of hotel was taking care of us and our baby. They did everything to let us enjoy our time in sri lanka. We would come again to this resort, when we are back on sri lanka
