Excellent hotel in the heart of Dehli. The staff are exceptional, going out their way to make sure you have everything you need. My wife left some clothes in the room and they were kind enough to send it to our hotel in Jaipur. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel with great food (huge portions and great prices) and staff. Reception were super helpful and the tour desk had amazing deals for trips. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was big and good

There is a McDonald's about 3 minutes' walk away. There are ***y buses nearby. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the train station. The subway station is very far away. You can call Uber for door-to-door pick-up.

Overall it was clean and comfortable. The location is a little noisy with the street, but the attached restaurant was very good.

This is a hotel located in the downtown area. It seems to be a popular hotel among Westerners. Service is average. WiFi didn't connect very well.

We were very satisfied with the hotel and, especially, the kind and helpful staff.

It's an old property. The switches, locks, controls, and handles of the room are not properly maintained and are not in working condition. the staff is rude, I was locked in the bathroom just after I checked into the hotel. I was locked inside for half an hour I went to take a shower and forgot the towel outside and hot water was also not available, I tried to open the door, but found that the handle and and latch is not working and the handle was broken, I started shouting I was getting suffocated because exhaust was also not working, I then started knocking and banging the door, then some nearby customers informed the hotel staff who came to my rescue I was about to fainted and panicked since I was alone for the work purpose. One of the maintenance staff Rinku the Manager Mr. Kaushal Kumar Pramod, who was there informed him that the staff himself was locked in another bathroom for half an hour, to which kaushal Kumar started shouting on him and stated you do not know the use, it is a life threatening incident. I was thereafter shifted to a smoking room despite my specific request of a non-smoking room. I also wrote the same to Agoda.com from where I booked the hotel, but they even today did not resolve the complaint. I was very upset with the incident since the hotel is not in an airy area, having enough oxygen or good air. Please think so many times before booking this hotel, and even the website like agoda will not help you since they are having a business of making money, nothing else. I hopefully I posted the same review on Agoda.com they should show it on their website since I immediately wrote them about the incident. I am sure people will think twice the food is not so good . And, they did not even bother since they have tie ups with all the other travel website. I am sure I from my side take the appropriate action against them. Kindly see the photos

Almost Perfect. The housekeeping was great and everyone was really friendly. The rooms were great, clean and the room service were excellent. The manager Ashok Pandya was really friendly and recommended really nice places to visit. Everyone helped us to have a really wonderful trip.

Just got home from a fantastic stay in Delhi at Hotel Godwin. The main guy (I think the owner), who worked the desk during the day was fantastic and super helpful. He helped arrange daytrips, super attentive to any queries we had. The staff would even make sure we got into the correct taxi/tuk tuk. The hotel is very close to New Delhi Rail and Metro station. I think you could walk it but wouldn't reccomend. It's easy to hail a Tuk Tuk on Uber or off the street to take you. The room was a very high standard for India with free bottles of water daily, and very good AC in the room. They aren't hugely sound proof and you can hear a lot of noise from outside the rooms, but it isn't too bad at all. Their breakfast is yummy with Indian Curries for breakfast! The on site restaurant/room service is also delicious too, at a fair price. We were made to feel welcome at the hotel and if I were to go back to Delhi, I would definitely stay again.

Ist time to india. Shocking how dirty crumbling crowded polluted the city is over all in Delhi. Yet, life forges onward. So this affects the rating but should not for the hotel which for the rate, is reasonable, offered good value facilities n conveniences. Some staff is grudgingly accommodating but overall helpful. Wifi is blinky n slow but that seems to be the norm than the exception. Sheets pills so felt I was getting an added exfoliation for the price😂 the restaurant is nice where easy quiet tasty dining is needed for the block.

Have stayed at both the Goodwin hotels in the pass eight years and the rooms and the service have been very good. But this time the room and the hotel service as very poor and was not happy. I will think about booking this hotel in the future.

Had a nice 2 night stay at the hotel. Room was neat and clean. Staff polite and helpful. One let down was the transport that was arranged by the hotel for the planned tour. Overall it was a good stay.

Hotel was fine in general. Rooms clean, reasonably sized, fairly modern. Negatives: The toilet flush sometimes did not work. Soundproofing could be improved. You need to speak with reception every day to get a new WiFi code and it is a bit slow. The manager at reception was helpful, but when I checked out I spoke to another guy, who was less so. The final bill was a bit higher than anticipated and when I queried it, his English seemed to deteriorate. He then handed me an extra couple of hundred rupees, which I still thought was a bit light, but I accepted it as I was in a rush. The big negative was the in-house travel agent, Mr Latif. He saw a young, sleep deprived solo-traveller on their first day in India and saw a good gaslighting opportunity. He trashed my travel plans, telling me that I was going to have a bad trip, that the journeys I was taking were not reliable, poorly planned, and advising me to cancel most of my train journeys, flights and hotel bookings. Of course this was all with a view to sell me as much as possible. I feel like a bit of a mug in retrospect for going ***** with some of it, but I wrongly assumed that someone associated with the hotel would be more trustworthy than the type of touts you get on the street. Luckily I didn't book too much, but what I did book turned out to be generally rubbish and very overpriced. After a good night's sleep I was wise to it, but he continued to bombard me every day, sometimes making up lies about why my plans were doomed. I asked to get what I could cancelled/refunded, but with no joy. Definite lowlight of my whole trip to India.
