Set in such a beautiful tranquil place in the New Forest, Burley Manor exceeded our expectations! Its picturesque front garden with deers running free, to its amazing front entrance of a stunning log burning fire enriched with a beautiful aroma in the air, topped off with a very warm cosy feeling. Could it get any better?... to then be greeted on the front desk by a kind, smiley, happy and funny lady by the name of Marylyn just made us feel at home right away. Once to our room, where its location was just perfect and easy access we entered into a very cosy bright place. The bathroom was gorgeous, its shower was grand and so relaxing and the big sink such a nice touch. Not a bad thing to say about the room... apart from we found it difficult getting out of bed in the morning as it was too comfy as we sleep so well 😀. Burley Manors breakfast, lunch and dinner was all just amazing. Huge thank you to the chefs and kitchen staff for the brilliant food. Lastly the staff were all so lovely and friendly! Keep up the amazing work. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much

We were invited to a wedding. We booked the shepherds hut to make our stay a bit more interesting! I can confirm it really exceeded our expectations! The wedding was a lovely well attended event. Staff were polite and friendly - particularly Alex (maitre d?). We felt welcomed and relaxed. The wedding breakfast was well catered and the bar well stocked! As for the shepherd's hut stay, the privacy aspect was lovely. Not only did the location of the hut give us time to have a quiet space from the actual wedding, there was a quiet area outside the hut which was not overlooked where we could have a small fire pit! There was minimal interaction from staff or other guests which was nice and very different from he usual hustle and bustle staying inside a hotel room! The wildlife around the hut was wonderful, a bluest and robins nest nearby and we woke up in the morning to see deer outside the window! Inside the hut the amenities were clean and well attended. There was no TV or full length mirror, the facilities were small and compact but that's what you expect from staying in a hut! As part of our stay we were invited to have our breakfast in the hut, however we decided to join the hotel party in the main dining room. After being immersed in quiet and serenity the breakfast area appeared busy and the self service area was not well stocked. We opted for a full english breakfast which was disappointing as not all the components of a 'full english' were there. We were not served tea or coffee and had to request this from ther waiter when they passed our table. Staying in the hut definitely put a different slant on your usual hotel stay! I would defiantly recommend it!

The afternoon tea was a birthday present for two people. We arrived early for afternoon tea & were shown into the drawing room. We were the only customers in there the whole time, but one table had dirty cups/glasses on it & wasn't cleared during our time there. We were offered a pot of tea & when it came, the waitress spilled some on the table & didn't clean it up. The tea pot contained two English breakfast tea bags on strings to serve two people. One of the saucers had a chip out of it, which isn't acceptable in a hotel . There was a grubby vase on the table with some plastic flowers in it, these gave the table a tacky look. We waited 30 minutes over our booking time, so went to reception to see when the food was coming. A few minutes later, the food arrived. The sandwiches were unremarkable & the bread was rather dry. The scones were not fresh & the jam was too runny to actually stay on the scones. The clotted cream was also runny & not thick as it should be. As we were eating, a loud fire bell sounded & the door slammed shutting us in the room. After a few minutes of loud noise, I opened the door & jammed it open again. No one appeared to apologise for the bell or to say it was just a false alarm. As the price of afternoon tea is £28 per person, we definitely didn't feel the experience warranted £56.

Visited with my partner for his birthday - our daughter of 24 joined us. I was so glad to find our rooms were in the main house - good to be able to sit and have a drink in the bar in the evening. Such a beautiful building and location - loved sitting on the terrace and watching the deer. The room was quite small - buy it was a "small double" - had everything we wanted. Breakfast was very good too.

We're just back from a two night stay at the Burley Manor to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary - we booked a garden room as we were taking our 15 month puppy along with us! Well what an enjoyable couple of days - the accommodation was a very good standard and the breakfast was outstanding. We were able to take advantage of the lovely weather by breakfasting and dining on the exceptional hotel terrace. Our puppy was able to run and have fun on the lovely lawned area fronting our accommodation and overlooking the deer park - a truly enjoyable couple of days made even better by the lovely walks in the neighbouring New Forest - thank you !

Wonderful hotel and location. We booked a suite which personally I thought was on the small side. More like a superior double room in other hotels. But saying that I would stay again and would recommend to others

This was catered for beautifully, the food we had from canapés to wedding breakfast and breakfast in the morning all outstanding, charged different prices for the same drinks round. Helped the weather was beautiful so made good use of outdoors.

We booked this hotel because we wanted a nice quiet place to enjoy the sun, we booked through ******* and did expect the pool to be open due to the high temperatures this weekend, unfortunately it was not. We were disappointed with the look of the hotel as well, very small room, a fan in the bathroom that it was extremely noisy, you couldn't flush the toilet during the night due to the loud noise that was making as well. We asked to cancel the rest of our trip as we were not happy and this was a hassle as the receptionist told us to go through the travel company we book this stay initially don't understand why as the reservation was already in their system and we paid at their hotel so the travel company was not able to refund anything. After all night trying to sort it out, we spent all next morning trying to do the same and we have been charged £200 early departure fee that I think it is expensive after all the hassle they have created and all the stress we have through during our weekend away. We will not be returning.

We stayed for 3 nights in a Garden Suite at Burley Manor. The room was spacious and clean. The outside area could do with a bit of TLC but was fine. The bathroom was a little tired in places and whilst it had a nice shower over the bath the bath screen wasn’t wide enough to not prevent water getting on to the floor. The breakfast was tasty and the hot food was cooked to order. We didn’t have an evening meal but did have a few drinks from the bar, which was reasonably priced. Our only one minor observation was that they kept a lot of lights on all the time and also radiators were on but then windows were open due to the warmer weather. This seemed a bit of a waste of energy (and money). There were plenty of places to sit outside and watch the deer.
