Courtyard New Haven at Yale Reviews

Visiting my old school campus so I am very familiar with the neighborhood. I picked this hotel because it’s relatively quite area. However, we couldn’t sleep at all because the room has no soundproof at all. The next door guests was parting with loud music, and even if they were told to turn off the speaker at 2AM, still countinue talking loudly until the sunrise. No basic amenities provided. For the cleaning matter, glass flakes founded on the carpet. Very unpleasant staying, unfortunately. Also $25 parking fee for even hotel guests.

Hotel is currently under construction / renovation. Checkin desk was covered in dust upon arrival for our non refundable room. I was then told parking is $25 per night, which considering the state of the lobby, the ongoing jackhammering was unacceptable. Next I was informed the construction was from 8:30 to 6:00. And the water would be turned off the following day from 10:00 to 5:00. Then I was told during construction hours one elevator was for construction crew, leaving only one elevator to service 8 floors of guests. Room was fine, first had a new fold out bed that was inoperable, we were eventually transferred to a different room with two beds. Might be a great place once renovations are complete but avoid in the meantime.

Very close to Yale campus. Fast food and supermarket is just opposite of the hotel. Must bring kettle if you need hot water in room.

Good property to stay at for our visit to Yale! Would re-book! Slightly old but nice big rooms and good service from the staff!

We went to vist Yale and it was a 5 min walk to the Visitor´s Office at 149 Elm St. Lost of coffee shops and restaurants close by. The hotel has a Strabucks and free parking.

It costs $12-13 to take a taxi from the train station. It is within walking distance of Yale University. The check-in service is good. We were given the room at 12 noon. The facilities in the room are a bit old and the toilet is small.

The hotel is in a convenient location, very convenient. The room is clean and hygienic, the bedding is also very hygienic, and the hotel staff is very polite. The breakfast is also good, suitable for business trips.

The room was very unhygienic and had a strong smell. The soundproofing was very poor. When booking the room, I asked for a quiet hotel, but I was given a room facing the street. There were car gangs racing all day and night, which was very noisy. I didn't sleep well the whole night. It was not easy.

Although this hotel is very close to Yale, it is being renovated while receiving guests. The hotel also charges $25 a night for parking, and you have to leave at 11am. In fact, there are roadside parking lines on the road near Yale at any time, 1$/hour. At night, there are all kinds of cars, police cars, and motorcycles on the road. The sound insulation is too poor. People who have trouble sleeping should choose carefully. It is recommended to live in a hotel with better facilities that is farther away.

I feel that the facilities in the United States are not as good as those in China for the same brand of hotel. The room facilities are relatively simple, barely adequate, and the bathroom is relatively small. There are no slippers, kettles, or free mineral water. Buy mineral water in the lobby for $4 per bottle. The hotel has a laundry room, and self-service laundry is more convenient. You can exchange coins at the front desk. The front desk staff has a good service attitude and is relatively friendly. The breakfast is good, you can order your own food, and it is delicious, and the price is around $10-15.

The room is large and very close to Yale, about 15 minutes' walk, suitable for parent-child study tours.
