New Orleans Courtyard Hotel by the French Quarter

Great hotel in an historic building just out of the noisy fray of the French Quarter, though even in this location hearing the odd boisterous revelry in the street can’t be helped, if you’re in a front street room. The room was very clean and comfortable and I loved the charm of the lobby/salon with old fireplace and a few well placed antiques. A surprisingly good price for this charming stay with security entrance and secured parking.

liked the clean room, air-conditioning, did not like that you had to pay for parking, you could hear everything through the walls, the second night was horrible, people partying loud outside the rooms late couldn't sleep and almost left in the middle of the night. Need more supervision on the outside at night, so people can sleep.

Nice hotel. Very comfortable beds. Hotel is close, walking distance (10 min) to the French Quarter and Bourbon st.. was interesting that there was no mini fridge in the room but no big deal. Also I had no idea parking was $45 a night. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t mind staying again.

First time in New Orleans. Our hotel was great. Loved the history of the building, and the staff was helpful and nice. Rooms were very clean. It's walking distance to food, shopping, and entertainment.

Older property. Room was roomy and clean. There was no fridge in room nor was there an elevator. Gated, expensive self parking

The staff were friendly and helpful. This is an old, historic, character - filled building. It is not a chain hotel. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. They cleaned with fresh towels daily. It is 3 blocks from Bourbon St. With a walk through quiet residential neighborhood. Charming!

Beds are super comfy. Area felt safe, parking lot is gated with cameras & plenty of spots for guests. It is definitely within walking distance to the quarter & there is a street car stop in front of the hotel if you don’t want to walk. Staff is very friendly & helpful. There is no elevator, lots of steps & the place is confusing on how to get around from the parking area to the front desk, but not a deal breaker. The room is sparse with the “little things” (no cups in the bath room, basic cable for the TV). Maybe it was the user…

The desk clerk, Jonathon, was extremely nice, helpful, and courteous. Check in went very smoothly. The room was clean and everything worked well, except that two of three bulbs were out over the bathroom sink. Also, there was a small issue with the sound not working on the tv when we got in our room, but they immediately sent in two guys who got it working. The hotel itself looks to be in much need of some repairs in the courtyard area. Hopefully, that is being scheduled soon. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy but not much more so than much of the French Quarter area. We would stay there again if we needed to, but would probably try to find something closer to the center of the French Quarter.
