This is a nice enough hotel but not the top-notch experience one would expect for the price (over $500 per night on weekends for a basic room). Pros: comfortable beds and bedding, good shower, friendly staff, and clean. Excellent cocktails in the bar. Cons: The room was nice but minimal. There is no tea/coffee making facility in the room: they will bring you a thermos with water and 1 teabag per person if you ask, and leave it at your door, but this is less flexible, and on occasion they failed to bring the requested milk, or brought a thermos filled with coffee instead of hot water. They hold your room key at the front desk but appear to be understaffed so on one occasion when there was no one at the desk, after we waited 5 minutes, we just went behind the counter and got our own key, which doesn't create a great impression of service or security. Our refrigerator wasn't working the first day, and they said they fixed it, but it still wasn't working the second day. The manager was gracious and waived our local tourist tax part of the bill, but it would have been nice to be able to have a cold beer in the room. All in all it was reasonably pleasant but no more so than the places I have stayed for half the price.
