Jiufen Sunshine

Our first family trip was in Jiufen, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our room had a Southern European country style, and you could tell that the furniture and related items were carefully selected, mostly solid wood, which created a different kind of quality. The room had no strange odors, and an air purifier was provided. The bathroom was also clean, and the water temperature in the shower was stable. Everything was thoroughly cleaned and comfortable. The only minor drawback was that the TV remote was a bit difficult to control, possibly due to poor contact. However, we could connect our own Netflix to watch shows ☺️ Breakfast consisted of fruit, waffles, Hong Ruixhen sandwiches, and a choice of beverage, which was filling. There was also a water dispenser and tea bags available near the front desk. There's a parking lot, but because there are many winding roads in Jiufen, you need to ask the staff to help move cars around to make space. So, it's recommended to visit your planned destinations first and then park in the guesthouse's parking lot when you're ready to explore Jiufen Old Street, to avoid constantly bothering the staff to move vehicles. Overall, it was a great experience, and I wanted to share it with everyone.

The valet parking service is fantastic! You put on slippers as soon as you enter the B&B, which keeps everything really clean. The front desk on the first floor offers complimentary coffee and tea bags, and there's also a water dispenser. Our room had a balcony, a huge bed, and a spacious layout. The bathroom was well-equipped with shampoo, body wash, and towels – truly excellent. My favorite part was breakfast; the individual portion was just right, and you could choose between milk tea or coffee, with the coffee being quite good. It's only a three-minute walk to the old street, which is incredibly convenient. However, many shops on the old street close around 7 PM. But on the bright side, there's a FamilyMart and 7-Eleven nearby, which is really handy.

It's a bit of a walk from the bus stop, in the opposite direction from the old street. Among the many guesthouses, I think this one has pretty clean facilities. The breakfast felt a little small in portion size. For a trip to Taiwan, I'd say it's worth spending one night in Jiufen.

The location is great, just a 2-3 minute walk downhill from the 7-Eleven in Jiufen Old Street. We swapped our shoes for slippers at the entrance and stored our shoes in a locker. The staff were very kind and spoke a little Japanese, which was helpful. We had booked a room with a view, and it certainly lived up to expectations. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious and clean, and they even provided bottled water. There's also a tea corner at reception where you can make yourself a drink to take back to your room. Breakfast starts at 8 AM and included Hung Rui Chen sandwiches, ********* braised pork (served hot!), waffles, a fruit platter, and drinks. We opted for soy milk and milk tea. The sandwiches were lightly warmed, the braised pork was piping hot, and the waffles seemed freshly made – they were warm and delicious! Check-out at 11 AM was super easy; we just left the key at the front desk (a bit nerve-wracking, but it worked!). Just a few things to note: there's no elevator, no conditioner provided, and you can't flush toilet paper. All in all, staying overnight in busy Jiufen was a really special experience. I would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you!

The location is right next to the old street entrance, making it easy to park and unload luggage right at the door. The place is clean and tidy, with a really cozy vibe. The breakfast was a big surprise – the coffee was excellent, and the food selection was great, including fruit, sandwiches, and sweet waffles. It really made me feel 'full of energy' for the day! 💪🏻💪🏻 Even though it rained non-stop both days. 😜😜

We stayed here as a family and had a wonderful experience. The facility was spotless, and the view from the balcony was magical with the mist. Although it was misty, the clouds cleared for a moment in the morning to reveal a breathtaking view that was beyond words. The location is perfect for accessing the Old Street, and the breakfast was delicious. However, the highlight of our stay was the owner's extraordinary kindness. Our 8-year-old daughter accidentally left her smartphone at the breakfast area, and we didn't realize it until we were already in a taxi heading down the mountain. To our amazement, the owner drove all the way down to catch up with our taxi and return the phone to us. This was our daughter’s first trip abroad, and experiencing such genuine kindness from the people in Taiwan, represented by the owner, is something she will cherish for the rest of her life. This act of selflessness made our entire trip unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jiufen! Thank you very much again, to the owner!
