Motto by Hilton New York City Times Square

I booked this hotel near Times Square in New York. Before booking, I saw some posts on a certain social media app saying the area was a bit chaotic, but after staying there, I felt it was fine. Many people stay here, so there's no need to worry. Besides the deposit, you also have to pay a destination fee, which includes a daily package. This package allows you to pick up two bottles of water from the front desk daily and get two waffle cookies refilled in your room (they're delicious!). It also includes a $10 credit for the downstairs dining area each day, which you *must* use on the same day as it doesn't carry over to the next. I didn't use the Citi Bike or the gym, so it felt like a mandatory fee, but for those who can use it, don't let it go to waste. The hotel is clean, the bedding is quite comfortable, and while the shower stall is small, it doesn't splash water out. The front desk staff's service attitude was alright, if you know what I mean. Overall, it's small but has everything you need. (I didn't take any pictures, but the ones I found on that social media app look exactly like my room.)

The room was tiny, and the price wasn't cheap. I guess the only good thing was the convenient location; everything is probably expensive in the Times Square area. Since we only had two backpacks and no luggage, it was manageable for two people. However, there was no kettle in the room. On the first day, we had two bottles of water, but for the next two days, we had to go to the front desk to ask for more, which they usually provided. Eating nearby was quite convenient; there's a good lobster place called Burger & Lobster that we ate at twice, about a 10-minute walk away. The only negative was the confusing deposit policy. After contacting Trip.com, they said it would be refunded within a week. They deducted $30 per day, with $10 of that being usable for snacks and coffee at the ground floor bar. I really think Trip.com should standardize their partner hotels to ensure a better customer experience.
