"Clean and smoke-free. The room was a bit small; once two suitcases were open, there wasn't much space to move around. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The toilet was a bidet. Friends from Malaysia can stay here with peace of mind. The front desk can also help receive packages. Parker at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, answering all my questions. Another front desk staff member even helped me carry my packages to the room. The hotel entrance is in a small alley, so ride-sharing apps sometimes have trouble finding the exact location. There's a convenience store, fruit stand, and food stalls right below the hotel. The hotel isn't too far from Jiefangbei. There's also another hotel in the same building. It must be the off-season now, as the elevators didn't require a long wait."

"I really have to commend the front desk lady for this stay; her service was absolutely excellent! I got a bit lost when I first arrived, and she was already waiting for us downstairs at the hotel. When we checked out, the parking lot gate was closed, and she was immediately there to help us. For this price, I received service that was even better than a star-rated hotel."

"I stumbled upon this hotel during my trip, and it's incredibly convenient regarding transportation. It's right next to the monorail station, with lines 1, 2, and 6 easily accessible. It's also within walking distance of many popular attractions like Shibati, Hongyadong, the cable car, and the Mountain City Trail. The hotel is on the 29th floor, so it's very quiet and not noisy at all. The soundproofing is excellent, and the high-floor window views are expansive, with a beautiful night view that's really comfortable to look at. Staying here is truly chill! The rooms are equipped with smart assistants, so you just say ”Xiao Du Xiao Du” for voice control. You don't even need to manually open the curtains – perfect for someone lazy like me!"

"Positives: 1. Excellent hotel location. Walking distance to many attractions and food places. 2. Convenient to get on to taxis or subway. 3. Good spread of breakfast with local and international selection. 4. Free launderette is convenient to use at our own time. 5. Staff tries to help diligently eventhough struggles with english. Need to improve: 1. No room service or in room dining is available. A bit inconvenient if kids are tired and want to have a quick bite. Although, delivery apps are convenient to use and order is sent up to rooms via robots. 2. You can’t charge restaurant or bar to room. Need to carry purse within hotel to pay separately. 3. Check-in was a hassle. Have to go to 29th Floor carrying our own luggage. Check-in took 30 minutes and we were charged wrong rates. Had to carry luggage again back to our rooms. They called us again to front desk at 29th to pay the dues. This is not a good experience considering we were tired and checked in around 11pm. 4. Room lighting is automated via infrared sensors. This system is not working 100% times. Sometimes lights will be switched off in the room if sensor doesn’t detect. This happened in kids room and they were anxious. We called service staff and they changed our rooms. Staff helped us to change our room and repair the faulty sensor. 5. Rooms are centrally cooled with 18deg C fixed temp. Heating function is not available and is an issue during winters. Staff helped with providing portable room heater."

"Pretty good! I was on a business trip to Chongqing, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's right next to a subway station, and there's a shopping mall just outside. Plus, they offer a dedicated car service to the airport, which was very satisfactory. When I checked out today, I had a chat with the manager or owner, and I learned that this hotel has a lot of history; it reopened in 2025 after a renovation. I hope they continue to do well!"

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to Jiefangbei and Shibati, and the subway is right next door, making it super convenient to get to Liziba and E'ling Station. The hotel staff are also very warm and polite, especially the cleaning staff who always greeted us when we saw them. The room facilities are new. The hotel breakfast was also delicious, and the elders in my family were very satisfied. The heating was more than adequate!👍👍 However, on the first day, when we checked in, the Ctrip page stated that check-in was at 2 PM. But when we returned at 3:30 PM, we were told the rooms weren't ready yet. Since we had an early flight, the kids were already tired. We had to keep prompting them in the lobby until one room was finally prepared. Then, we had to call from that room to urge them to prepare the second room, which finally happened at 4 PM. This completely messed up our subsequent plans. Once we got into the room, I couldn't help but smile wryly at the window. For a hotel that prides itself on being 5-star, the window was a joke. Plus, one window couldn't even close properly, so smoke from other rooms drifted directly into our 'non-smoking' room, rendering the non-smoking policy useless! 😤 Super frustrating. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, but there was absolutely nowhere to hang clothes in the shower. This made changing clothes incredibly awkward if you're traveling with friends or family with kids. 😅"

"Sleeping by the River: A Hidden Gem in Chongqing! – Review of Holiday Inn Express Chongqing Jiefangbei Hongyadong Choosing the Holiday Inn Express Chongqing Jiefangbei Hongyadong was the best decision I made for this Chongqing trip! From the moment I stepped in, I was surrounded by delightful surprises. The location, room experience, and thoughtful service perfectly matched my travel expectations. I absolutely have to give it a five-star rating! The hotel's location is simply divine! Situated in the heart of Cangbai Road, it’s just a few minutes' walk downstairs to the entrance of Hongyadong scenic area. At night, watching the stilt houses light up like a fairytale world is magical. In about a 10-minute walk, you can reach the Jiefangbei commercial area and Bayi Road Food Street, where hotpot, Chongqing noodles, and sour and spicy vermicelli are readily available. Shopping is incredibly convenient too. It’s also close to Metro Lines 1, 2, and 6, making transportation to attractions like Chaotianmen and Liziba seamless – a huge plus for tourists. We booked the ”Cloud Realm” Landmark River View King Room, and it completely exceeded our expectations! The 25-30㎡ space was spacious and comfortable. The huge floor-to-ceiling window overlooked the Jialing River, offering views of boats coming and going during the day and glittering neon lights at night. The 180° river view was absolutely stunning, perfect for atmospheric photos. The room decor was minimalist and chic, with a very practical smart home control system, including an Xiaodu smart speaker and a high-definition projector – all easy to operate and technologically advanced. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the mattress provided excellent support, erasing all travel fatigue. The bathroom had a dry/wet separation, and the smart toilet and partitioned vanity were incredibly thoughtful, allowing our family of four to use it without interference – full marks for detail. What's more, the soundproofing was superb; despite being close to commercial areas and attractions, the room was very quiet, allowing for a wonderfully sweet sleep every night thanks to the comfortable bedding. The service was exceptionally heartwarming! The front desk staff were gentle, enthusiastic, and efficient with check-in and check-out. They even proactively offered coffee and local specialties, and patiently recommended nearby must-visit spots and less-known local eateries – absolutely no regrets. During our stay, any request to customer service was promptly addressed. Even thoughtful details like disposable toilet seat covers and bathtub liners were provided, making us feel truly cared for. The public observation deck on the 15th floor was a hidden gem, offering Chongqing's most beautiful night views without the crowds of tourist spots, and you could even catch drone shows. The view was better than many paid observation decks. Breakfast offered a rich variety of delicious food, and sitting in the restaurant with views of the two rivers converging made for a great start to the day. Furthermore, the hotel's value for money was a pleasant surprise. A comfortable king room could be had for around 200+ RMB, and even the river view rooms were very affordably priced. Group purchase packages were incredibly good deals. There was ample parking, which was convenient for those traveling by car. Upon checking out, we were even given a special small gift."

"The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate for one person and very well-maintained. It had a large floor-to-ceiling window, which offered a beautiful night view. They also provided local travel guides for reference. You can even add them on WeChat to get information and assistance anytime."

The black and white geometric floor tiles paired with the ink-wash marble bathroom make every snapshot look like a high-fashion editorial. During the day, the sunlight streaming through the sheer curtains creates a wonderful ambiance, and at night, you can lie in bed and watch the city lights. The location is also perfect, super close to Hongyadong and Bayi Delicious Street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and eating. Staying here truly fills you with happiness! I'd call this hotel the ultimate in Chongqing. 😻"

"I read many hotel reviews and finally chose Sanshichengyin, and it didn't disappoint. ①The location is excellent, close to several attractions and within walking distance. There are many dining options nearby, making meals convenient. ②The hotel is on the third floor of a large building. Stepping out of the elevator, it feels like a hidden paradise, with large areas of greenery that make you feel comfortable and refreshed. The atmosphere is warm, quiet, and elegant. ③The front desk lady was very warm and patient. She let us choose our room area (ABC three areas) and even upgraded us to an audio-visual room. She led us to our room and presented us with a welcome gift. ④The room air was fresh with no strange odors. The bedding was all new, with no rust stains or blemishes, and the towels were sparkling white. As someone who pays close attention to details and is a clean freak, I couldn't find a single flaw. 👍👍👍 Excellent, highly recommended!"
