"I used to prefer staying at the Hyatt whenever I visited Xuzhou. After the Hyatt closed down and rebranded as Yinhe, I wanted a change, so I booked a stay at the Suning Zhenyue, which opened in 2026. The location is quite good, just one metro stop from Pengcheng Square, and the subway station is only 50 meters downstairs. You can even see the ancient Yellow River course from here. The hotel occupies the 31st to 35th floors of a commercial building. The hotel's reception desk is carved out of a section of the commercial building's first-floor lobby. The lobby bar is a Starbucks, a small row by the window. Stepping out of the lobby, you enter the shared elevator hall for the commercial building. Out of six elevators, one is exclusively for the hotel. Since there are two other hotels in the building and food delivery drivers also use the other five, the shared elevators can be slow. The dedicated elevator is much more convenient, though you might wait a while if a robot is delivering food. I booked the 189-degree view room. While not huge, the space is adequate – I didn't feel it was cramped. However, the bathroom felt a bit downsized. The washbasin is openly set in the hallway, which is actually quite convenient and saves space. The hygiene situation was a bit concerning. There were quite a few handprints and other marks (perhaps from faces or foreheads) left by previous guests on the large floor-to-ceiling windows, and they remained for my entire two-night stay. The TV screen was covered in dust, and it wasn't cleaned during the two days of housekeeping. When restocking toiletries, they would take away a toothpaste that had only been used once, which felt a bit wasteful. Regarding the facilities, the toilet would sometimes flush automatically and had a heated seat, but lacked a bidet function and automatic opening/closing lid. The small window could be opened, but one pane couldn't be locked. The indoor lighting had several scene modes, but I couldn't find individual controls for the bedroom lights, so I couldn't turn on just one specific light. To sum up, while the room rate was slightly lower than the Hyatt's group purchase price not far away, there's still a quality gap, and the location is also a bit less desirable than the Hyatt. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. I was not informed that the mini-bar was complimentary for the first use – neither at the time of booking on Ctrip, nor at check-in, nor was there any sign in the room."

Considering the transportation, I booked this Ji Hotel which is relatively close to Xuzhou East, and I'm very satisfied! The hygiene, facilities, and breakfast were all excellent, no complaints. After the concert, I took the subway to Xuzhou East, and I was worried it would be crowded and difficult to get a taxi for such a short distance, so I pre-booked the pick-up service. "The room was fantastic, I was really satisfied. The hotel I originally booked was terrible, so I found this hotel on Ctrip, and the stay was unexpectedly wonderful.
