"The service was impressive, Jeff made sure that we're okay throughout our stay. He replied to all our queries with professionalism; responsive and helpful. He provided detailed check-in and room instructions. The unit is clean and pleasant to the eyes--- we did not encounter any problems at all. The place is accessible to everything and easy to locate. Definitely would like to stay in the unit again. Thank you for the amazing service and amenities!"

"Overall was ok as it was a new unit. Check in was smooth and easy. The other units around are still renovating, some drilling noise and quite dusty. One of the toilet had a bad sewage stench, asked for maintenance help but they only placed a diffuser, problem wasn’t solved. Reply was prompt though. Would appreciate if more things were provided (eg. tissue paper/ kitchen towels) as price point was quite high."

"Conveniently located on top of the mall. very clean unit, can smell the fresh linen, they washed and changed for us. spacious unit. easy and clear instructions for checking in. Ample parking space which is safe with security. The unit comes with washing machine, good-sized fridge, fully equipped kitchen. gd for a family of 4-5. :) the only 1 thing we have issues with is the lift. many lifts are not working. we were told to park at level 5. and there were a total of 4 lifts. The buttons not working for 3 lifts, except for 1 lift hidden at the stairwell. the next thing we realised is our cards not work, unable to bring up to the unit level. luckily, someone elses press for the lift at different level, and we exited 3 levels before the correct level.. and gotta climb up 3 storeys. :/ initially, we thought is just the lift issues. when we went out for dinner, we face the same issues. luckily someone tap for us to get back to our units."

"I’ve seen this hotel many times, but this was our first stay and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s probably one of the better hotels in JB, especially for its affordable price. This  2-bedroom, 2-bath unit is spacious and comes with a proper kitchen, utensils, and a washing machine. It’s a serviced apartment with a sea and greenery view. The place is quiet, clean, and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the WiFi is better than most hotels in the area. There is a nearby supermarket, The Pasar, and several restaurants along the lake, which makes it very convenient for meals and groceries. One suggestion for improvement: there are many switches for the lights, air-conditioning, and fan. It would be helpful to label them so guests don’t have to guess which switch controls what."

"This was my first stay at Sheraton Hotel Johor Bahru, and as someone who places a lot of value on customer service, the team genuinely exceeded my expectations. Across multiple departments, the staff consistently showed a positive attitude, thoughtful consideration, and a clear willingness to go the extra mile for guests. During breakfast, staff regularly greeted us and checked in to see if we needed anything. Even during peak hours, another team member managed the lift flow smoothly so the lifts could be used more efficiently. I also appreciated how staff didn’t just point us in a direction—they guided and accompanied us to available tables, which made the whole experience feel warm and well-organised. My family was especially tired after arriving late at night, and we were momentarily lost while trying to find the reception lobby on Level 5. The security guard responded to our questions with patience and grace, and that same welcoming energy continued during check-in. The guest relations officer answered my breakfast questions with such kindness and a big smile—even when I was experiencing serious brain fog (lol!). It’s these small, consistent acts of care—paired with genuine positivity—that set this hotel apart. I also completely understand how Sheraton Hotel Johor Bahru lives up to its reputation as a family-friendly hotel. We spotted the kiddie pool with water slides, and Mizan had an absolute blast splashing and playing there. The pool area itself felt thoughtfully planned—well laid out, with facilities that made it easy to enjoy the space while still feeling calm and relaxing. The room delivered too, especially in comfort and cleanliness. The bed was incredibly inviting (the kind you immediately want to melt into), and the overall bedroom layout felt cozy and well designed—simple, comfortable, and easy to settle into after a long day. One more thoughtful touch that really stood out: the hotel even had a balloonist on-site creating balloon designs for the children. Honestly—what family-friendly hotel goes the extra mile to do that? It was such a simple but brilliant idea, and you could see how much it delighted the kids. His balloons definitely made the young guests happy, and it added an extra layer of joy to the whole stay. Unmatched customer service, family-friendly facilities, and cozy hotel rooms all in one place? Sheraton JB tops my list."

"The entrance to the R&F condo has a very narrow pavement that is shared with some shops located along the way. This can be too narrow it gets crowded and you are carrying luggage. The unit has some fixtures that are broken, including the clothes stand and broken chairs. The broken chairs are a safety hazard and have caused a fall. Thankfully, the fall was not serious. The owner has responded and promised to fix it, but this cannot be verified during the stay. There are towels, shampoo, and body soap provided. There is a washing machine in the balcony but I didn't test to see if it works. The tap has a filter for drinking water. But I'm unsure if the filter is replaced regularly given the upkeep of the place does not seem too good."

"The hotel is quite nice with a reasonable price. The environment is beautiful, and the rooms are very clean and new. The only small downside is that the room is a bit small, but everything else is great. The lobby is also very comfortable, and the location is very convenient."

"The check-in process was seamless; they even provided a YouTube video showing how to walk from JB Sentral to the location. We received two access cards with a manual key included. The apartment itself was clean and spacious, and the view was breathtaking. On the 8th floor, there is an outdoor gym, a kids' playground, and a pool. It would be even better if they provided drinking water and laundry detergent, similar to our experience in Kuala Lumpur. The hosts were very accommodating and allowed us to borrow the access card after checkout so we could use the bridge to the mall and return to the apartment when my child needed to use the restroom. Overall, I will definitely come back, though perhaps on a lower floor next time, as the high floor was a bit scary for me!"

"Got a good deal for this fairly new hotel. Check in was smooth. Room was clean. I was already aware Medini doesn't have much to offer so I just stayed in and enjoy the amenities and the bed. Breakfast was ok. Can be improved by offering unique dishes."
