Amicable staff Comfortable, clean, warm room with heater Huge bed got everything we need (with kettle, hair dryer etc. )The only problem was the noise outside the room by neighbours at 2am Otherwise, everything was perfect for a hostel

Well situated and easy to get to. Facilities are decent and it is handy if you wish to cook. If you do not wish to cook and to eat out, then there are plenty of places and restaurants. There is parking and it is clean.

Located in Asian quarter of town. Accessible by 10 11 38 bus from Grainger street. Very large old building on same site as a. tyre centre and car wash. Very neglected. Carpets and drapes need deep cleaning. Furniture is all dark wood. Has a lift that's broken front door doesn't lock. All rooms have issues. Rooms have key card entry. I got an upgrade but even that room had issues. Hotel has power saving lights. Very nice shower facilities. Smart TV with YouTube and or Netflix. Beds very old. Bedding old Rooms very large. Hotel generally quiet. Outside noise is an issue. Staff on site don't speak much English. Coffee bar downstairs held a function that went on until 2am. Very cheap hotel. Not up to my standard. Suites have mini fridge and microwave and kettle and sink all hidden in cupboards. Cutlery and crockery. Suites and multiple bedded rooms next to each other. Very confused set up

Save yourself the Hassle and don’t book! Stayed her with 6 friends got a shared room which tbh was wasn’t bad but when we arrived the guy on reception tried to charge us £700 which was over double the amount i booked it for! Good job I realised before he took the payment! He didn’t even apologise just typed the correct amount in but seemed dodgy now reading other reviews of similar situations. We were a group of young girls and they took photo copy’s of all of our ID’s which I found strange tbh I’ve never encountered that when staying somewhere before. We didn’t feel safe at all tbh security was lacking, afger reading the other reviews online I made sure to get my deposit back straight away before leaving. Make sure to take photos of all the damaged stuff in your room when you arrive so avoid being charged

I stayed at this hotel on 4/2/23 and as of today 8/3/23 I still haven’t received my £50 deposit! I already had a problem with the sister hotel Grainger house hotel where they cancelled my stay the night before. I only received my refund from them because I went through **********. I’ve called several times for my deposit and I always get told the accounts department are dealing with it! The Hotel it’s self isn’t a bad hotel for group trips to Newcastle just be prepared for your deposit to take weeks or months!!

Great night stay, not sure what all these negative comments were about like, deposit back first thing in the morning. Smart rooms and top blokes on reception. Shower was a bit too hot, but nothing major. 4/5 boyo.

We stayed here in early December and there were numerous issues e.g. broken shower control, no temperature control in the sink ( water dangerously hot) boarded up window, shower flooding the bathroom, broken elevator. Aside from all of these issues we are still waiting for the return of our deposit 4 wreeks later! They have consistently lied blaming our credit card company, the bank etc while then comfirming to *********** that they never actually processed it. Such bad business practice, £150 is not a small amount and from reading reviews they are known for this. The excellent reviews on booking, com are 100% false

Really rough apartments where, if you were paying £20 a night and it was described as a hostel you wouldn’t really mind. However, £360 for 3 twin beds and a bunk bed in a normal sized room is a p*ss take. Neighbourhood is pretty dodgy, and wasn’t filled with confidence that the main door was permanently open. Luckily we were all sh*t faced so slept well despite crap room and lack of security. Not quite a 1/5 as the bathroom was actually not too bad, although a more powerful fan was needed to surpress the smell produced by five 40 year old’s dodgy bowels after 18 hours of drinking. The crowning glory was the courgette pictured, which was stuck to the wall in the stairwell surrounded by a expanding circle of grease for the entirety of our stay. When we mentioned it to the guy on reception when we checked out, zero f**ks were given.
