Totally central. Minutes to the train station and Greys monument. I love the kitchen and free tea and coffee. Breakfast in peace. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This is my second stay and I am looking forward to returning.

Central location

Basic hostel. My dorm room could have been cleaner, there was some trash on the floor. Did have all the necessities but not really anything extra. Good for the price.

The location is super easy to find. You just walk a short distance straight out of the train station, and you're there. Once you're at the door, just ring the bell and say you're checking in, and they'll let you in. The two young ladies and a gentleman at the front desk were incredibly enthusiastic and helped with all our questions, often personally showing us where to go. You pay a £5 deposit for the key card, and luggage storage is free with a dedicated, very secure room for bags. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there's a lounge area with sofas and tables. I used to charge my phone and power bank there at night. Of course, each room also has outlets, but I found the lounge more comfortable. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm, and since it wasn't busy these days, there were only three of us in total. Everyone was quiet, so getting rest wasn't an issue. The bed was a bit soft, which my old back and neck aren't used to, but it was fine for a few nights. The toilets and showers are separate, and completely segregated by gender, which is better than other hostels, and everything was very clean. All in all, I liked it and will definitely stay here again next time.

Normal cheap hostel. Facilities are good, plenty of shower and toilet stalls so you’re never waiting for bathroom.

The hostel seems to be used as emergency accommodation for long term residents/vulnerable people, which can lead to hygiene and noise issues in the dorms. However, the staff were amazing especially the girl at the front desk! She was super friendly and helpful, even gave us a free room upgrade to make us more comfortable. Great service from her, but be aware of the mixed environment

Location was great, just a few minutes walk from Newcastle Station. Reception staff was friendly. There was sufficient communal facilities although its slightly dirty. Rooms were quite clean but would benefit from having a privacy curtain on each bed. Would recommend, especially considering the price I paid.

nice one, not always a busy place, suitable for your stay when you are on a solo trip. excellence goes for services and security warm rooms with heaters on all night clean kitchen, enough chairs in the longue ☺️🙂
