The County Aparthotel

Stayed here one night on my journey home whilst working away. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer! Checked in by a very helpful young lady called Sruthi. Room was beauthiful, fitted out for nearly everything that you could possibly want, only thing missing really was a table to sit and eat at but that wasn't a problem for me. Bed was comfortable, comfortable sofa (although a little low) to sit at whilst watching TV (freeview only), nice bathroom, good selection of tea and coffees. Perfect room for a stay in Newcastle, especially as it is so centrally located and just minutes walk from the railway station! I did have a very minor issue in that there was a large A/C unit outside that was quite noisy. I asked at the desk if it turned off at night and (as it didn't) they (Sruthi and her manager (sorry but I didn't get their name) offered to move me to another room. The new room was MASSIVE, way bigger than I needed (more suited to a family of 4 or more) and so I declined with polite thanks , but the gesture with no pushing at all was more than enough for me! Brilliant customer service. Thoroughly recommend staying here if looking for a place in Newcastle, and a really good price too! You can get breakfast at the County Hotel very close by, my review for that will be seperate from this.

We stayed here last week and would 100% reommend. We stayed in the two bed apartment and it was perfect. Lovely living room and kitchen area and the two bedroos were great and really comfortable. The location is brilliant, easy to get to from the aiport as the train brings you right across the road. It is close to the town centre and shops. We were in Newcastle to go to a gig in the 02 Academy which was only a 20 minute walk. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.

This was my first time staying at an Aparthotel, and it didn’t disappoint! We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge with kitchen & dining table. Excellent decor, all fresh and clean, large TV’s in both bedrooms, plus lounge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, 4 minute walk from the Station and surrounded by restaurants, and a short walk to shops. This has now become my go to place to stay when I’m in Newcastle.

Stayed here for the busted gig. It was easy to find, check in staff were great. Apartment was clean and really spacious. Beds were a little soft but had a good sleep. Tv reception was a bit patchy. Fridge was full of drinks, which was rather tempting! I was worried about being on 1st floor as it was a bit noisy when we arrived at 4pm but I put my ear plugs in and didn’t hear a thing during the night. Would stay again if in Newcastle

Well located hotel with lots of space for central Newcastle. Here for the Great North Run weekend where like last year Newcastle was in the middle of a heat wave. Unfortunately the room we had did not have air conditioning, and even with the windows open it was very warm and stuffy (little sleep). The bed was also not great, it’s all personal taste, however it wasn’t the most comfortable. However giving a 4 star based on the staff, very friendly and welcoming.

We had the pleasure of staying at the apartments on 24th July. We had 5x2 bed apartments for reunion of friends and family. The apartments were beautiful and well maintained, with lots of little touches. Ideal central location with easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were excellent

We booked a two bed apartment for a night before and night after our wedding and we were positively surprised as to how good it was! There was so much space - the bedrooms weee huge and the kitchen and living room space was big too - plenty room to get ready! It was very well equipped in kitchen utensils, plates, glasses etc. had microwave, hob and oven, dishwasher. All rooms were very clean and bathrooms were amazing too. Couldn’t have asked for more! Staff at the reception was lovely too and very helpful. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone!

booked this for as a present for my OH. Wasn't sure what to expect the reviews were good but it is a hybrid hotel / apartment. Wasn't disappointed, really friendly staff, central location to train station (literally 4 minutes walk), clean, warm, well stocked and quiet. Staff - there were three or four staff over 4 days, 24 hour reception. Totally lovely and couldn't do enough for you. happy to give advice on local places to see, eat and drink at. The room was also cleaned and straighten every day, fresh towels/ loo roll etc provided. Lift is a bit slow, but it give you time to laugh at the message One bedroom apartment, spacious living dining / kitchen area, you could cook a meal in here, there is a microwave. fridge freezer, oven and hob, made me smile there was two of everything, no extras. Bathroom nicely tiles out, brightly lit and clean. Bedroom, not the largest but when you have the rest of the space you don't need loads of space. Comfy bed and nice covers, you think the duvet is not up to the task as it feels thin but it is warm. Minor ******* and they are minor - no coat hooks, I have a long coat and there was no where to hang it up, so it was draped, my OCD came out to play., I mentioned it to reception and he said he would feed it back. the wardrobe is full of shelves and a safe, again I have long items that need hanging, couldn't get my coat in there and all my dresses were in a small 1 inch gap, Loo roll holder is a good reach from the loo, had me laughing enough that my OH wondered what I was up to, we used the spare and didn't do the stretch. No extractor fan in the bathroom, no window and no where for shower steam or smells to get out. Overall, really good value for money, plenty of space, well placed and I will go again.
