After our first night, the hotel said you could request softer pillows if required - which we did the very next morning and was assured these would be put in our room for us.
When we got back that evening, no pillows had been given and I was told that there were only 4 in the whole hotel.
The reception staff were very nice and there wasn't anything that they could've done, but being notified earlier in the day, could've allowed us to source some others from a shop.
As a result, we had 1 night with hard, high pillows and sore necks the next day and 3 nights with a single duvet as a pillow which didn't provide the greatest night's sleep, especially while pregnant so pretty disappointed in that respect.
As a suggestion, either stock more than 4 pillows as an alternative or remove the option of changing the pillows from the welcome pack if you are unable to fulfil this requirement.
I note that the Grey Street Hotel is part of your chain and I'd have happily driven to them and picked some up, but this wasn't an option.

I stay here fairly regularly during the week for work and really like the quality of the hotel etc however I brought my partner for a night away on a Saturday to go Xmas shopping and what a difference. The bar was open until midnight and extremely loud drowned out the TV - no warning seen on the website. Loud guests in corridors at all hours and banging doors.( obviously no fault of the hotel but possibly indicative of the difference in clientele at weekends so be warned)
During the week it’s my go to hotel in the area but may think twice for the next weekend away.

I have stayed here several times. The standard and cleanliness of the rooms is first class and the hotel is welcoming and modern. The service is efficient and friendly and the location of the hotel is excellent for transport links into Newcastle.

Nice hotel just outside Gosforth, so you'll need to travel for Newcastle's city attractions. No other local options for food or drink, but there is an excellent bus service directly outside the hotel. It's a 10 minute bus ride to Gosforth and half an hour to Newcastle City centre. Buses are regular and there's a late night service too.
The hotel is a good base for a short break or for catching up with family.
Our room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
We'll definitely be going back when we visit the city again!

I’m so glad I found this place. Wasn’t expecting much as paid a low rate so was extremely pleased when I arrived. Big car park, smart reception, lovely staff and great rooms. So glad I didn’t stay up the road at the grand which for the same money is a dump in comparison.

Usually stay in chain hotels. We saw this hotel and couldn’t resist. It was well worth the chance and more!
We booked a deluxe double and it was worth it.
The room was gorgeous and totally spotless too. Have stayed in bigger rooms but the way the space was utilised was top notch and still plenty of room.
From the minute you walk in, it is top quality. Reception & Housekeeping were faultless as was the room.
Please may I point out that your landing carpets are out of this world! I love the contemporary art deco twist you have throughout.
I wish that I had our Housekeepers name for our stay as she was exceptional, so friendly and helpful but never bothered us if we didn’t require housekeeping, she always checked we had everything we needed though. Not just friendly work wise but a genuinely welcoming friendly person.
Nov 24-30 deluxe double.
On checking out there was a different group of staff and they were also very helpful.
I have mobility issues and at every point of our stay I was offered extra help if needed, I didn’t but that was very reassuring to know.

Great hotel with comfortable and modern rooms. Staff were pleasant and helpful although service in the Pizza Restaurant was a little slow to say it wasn't that busy. I was sat waiting for quite a while before I was brought a menu.
