The staff at the Inn were so friendly and engaged. The breakfast was absolutely delicious each and everyday. We also thought that wine and cheese at 5 was so special. We had such a nice time mingling with the other guests and also the Inn keepers. Thank you for a wonderful stay at Almondy Inn.

We decided to travel to Newport to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Almondy Inn was a perfect choice. The location is just a few steps from Thames Street and we had a lovely water view from our bedroom. The Plantation Room was immaculate, as was the entire Inn. Shelby and Jerome are the innkeepers who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and provide any and all information you might need while you are in Newport. A highlight of each morning, was the multi course breakfast, prepared by Jerome, which was fabulous. Each morning we ascended the steps to be greeted by soft music, a beautifully laid candlelit table and the most delicious breakfast! Newport is beautiful but the Almondy Inn will be our main reason for a return trip to this beautiful town.

Thie Almondy Inn is charming and quaint with tasteful style everywhere you look, but at the same time has the quality and comfort of a boutique resort. Innkeepers Shelby and Jerome together with their staff have provided an exceptional get away with five star service! A word of advice, do not skip breakfast!!! Their cottage style French breakfast is delicious, balancing sweet and savory, a great way to fuel your day as you explore what Newport has to offer.

My wife and I stayed at the Almondy Inn for two nights and could not have had a better time. Everything about it was superb: the room, the food, and the staff. The innkeepers, Jerome and Shelby, met us upon our arrival and attended to our every need. The room was spotless and beautifully furnished as were the parlor and dining room on the main floor. The breakfasts were exquisite but different each morning. Wine and appetizers are served in the evening before you head out to dinner. Steps away from the Newport waterfront, the Almondy is ideally located and has the bonus of ample parking. We have stayed in boutique hotels and inns around the world and the Almondy is among the very best.

We just returned from a fantastic anniversary weekend at the Almondy Inn. The inn was the perfect place to stay. Cozy, clean, and decorated for Christmas. The daily multi course breakfast and wine and cheese hour made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed spending time with the other guests and chatting with the Inn Keepers. A beautiful home away from home in Newport.

Almondy Inn is a charming Bed & Breakfast perfectly located within walking distance of the wharfs, with restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is immaculate, the staff members are warm and welcoming, and the breakfast is top tier. We were pleasantly surprised with the French chefs, who prepared fresh pastries and egg dishes with fruit, potatoes, and meat each morning. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Newport, look no further.

Although this was our fourth trip to Newport, we had never stayed at the Almondy Inn before, and I will tell you do not hesitate to make your reservation! We were immediately greeted by John who was so warm and friendly. His last day as the innkeeper there was during our visit, and when we met Jerome we knew we were in good hands. The home was beautiful, charming, immaculately clean and the breakfasts were so wonderful! They even accommodated my husband who is lactose intolerant! Our stay was so comfortable and I highly recommend it! Oh, and you really don't need a car because the house is near absolutely everything! Thank you!

One word says it all- PERFECTION! Shelby and Jerome were the perfect “hosts”. The breakfasts were varied and delicious, far exceeding our expectations. The town of Newport is very walkable and the inn is in a prime location to walk to restaurants, shopping, and attractions. The inn itself is very quaint with the best of modern conveniences. The inn, and our room, was pristine with not a single speck of dust. The mattress was firm, but comfortable. The linens were crisp and fresh.
