First thoughts on room very very good and was impressed, but later on when we had shower we noticed staining on tiles from the grout also ground in dirt on shower door (see photos),also walls needed a spruce up as quite grubby. The next morning we complained about the room and was taken to one that had been updated which in our mind was a downgrade as we had a beach view in first room and this was a car park view. The manager was a good listener and agreed the room wasn’t good and said our room was on the list to be updated (should have been told this on arrival). After the initial conversation nothing else was done and we feel we have been let down. This room is £450 a night and we feel robbed. No refund or hotel credit was even spoke off ,even a bottle of wine in the room would have been nice.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful time I had even though it was only a 24 hour break. It really is a magical place and I feel fully restored after a blissful spa and stay. I could not fault a thing, from the thoughtful staff, the food and ambience of the dining room. I felt so looked after without any fuss, just kindness and attention. I felt rather emotional when I walked into my room, to see the sea view in all its glory. This is just the break I needed. I wish I could say in words more eloquently what a lovely time I had.

We came for afternoon tea for our anniversary in the Ren Mor restaurant and had a glorious experience. Prior to visiting their customer service via email was very helpful. Lazlow was our waiter and he was brilliant, very attentive and welcoming but not too much. I needed a dairy free version of the afternoon tea due to an allergy and this was accounted for and they bought me and my fiancé a seperate one which was brilliant. There was sooo much food, we each had: 4 sandwich’s, 2 scones and 4 cakes plus a whole Christmas cake. We couldn’t eat it all so got to take it away in a takeaway box. The views from the restaurant over fistral beach are spectacular and we were fortunate with the weather. Would definitely recommend and we’ll remember this for years to come. Thanks again for making our anniversary very special.

We stayed for a family wedding locally. The Headland Hotel enjoys a fantastic location. We dined one evening in the restaurant and it was superb. We used the spa facilities and they were also superb and the breakfast…… fantastic choice and quality.

We’ve been visiting the Headland Hotel for the last twenty years and still keep coming back for more! My son’s request was to go for his 21st Birthday as his first visit was at 6 months old !! We had a fabulous meal in the Renmor Restaurant , as usual food and cocktails just perfect. Big shout out to the lovely staff in the restaurant, James the barman, and all of the familiar faces that we so look forward to seeing on our visits to the hotel…..Reece, Beki, Finley and Sarah (concierge) ! You are a great team!! Thanks again for our memorable holiday 🫶🏻

We stayed for 2 nights midweek for my partners birthday and we had the loveliest time. The hotel facilities are fantastic but the friendly staff and incredible service made our stay so great - the birthday card was a lovely personal touch! We stayed in a cosy room and it was much bigger than we expected - the bathroom was also incredible. The only very small downside was that the room got very hot despite turning the radiators off, keeping the windows open and leaving a fan on all day. I’m not sure if this was due to the positioning (room 016) but this was the only downside to the room and we thought it was still exceptional value overall. We would stay in this room again, especially in the winter. Both spas were amazing and it was lovely and quiet during the two evenings we visited. Having a prosecco overlooking the sea was wonderful. Great facilities if you’re also looking to surf or bodyboard. We kept our wetsuits and gear at The Square and Michael was really helpful assisting us with keeping our gear locked away! We ate at all three restaurants - The Deck and the breakfast at Renmor definitely stood out to us as the best. Breakfast was incredible and had an amazing continental selection alongside the cooked breakfasts. Dinners at the Terrace and Renmor had lovely attentive service and a wonderful atmosphere. My partner loved his two dinners and mine were plated beautifully but I would have preferred a little more flavour for both my dishes but they were still okay! The desserts were also amazing. We would come again. Overall we had the best stay and felt so well looked after. The hotel was cosy, homely and felt unpretentious which we loved. We will be saving up to visit again - thank you for a fantastic time!

I cannot really fault out stay here, it was wonderful. The restaurant a little pricey, but the service was outstanding. The rooms were spotless, we had a 3 night stay here for our anniversary and it was really special. The staff are all so welcoming and each and every one of them gave amazing service. we used both spa's and both were brilliant. We will definitely be back!

We have visited with my wife’s family for years however this is the second consecutive year that I have been disappointed with the Headland hotel and as such we will not be returning. The straw that broke the camels back this year, was a very poor evening meal at the terrace restaurant, the portion sizes were very small for the price and almost everyone’s meal was served cold. My meal of mussels, although tasty were stone cold by the time they reached me. My wife had ordered the fish pie which was advertised as having scollops, prawns and local fish in, it had zero of the first two mentioned and was predominately potato. The staff on shift were very good and the duty manager who dealt with the issue and my angry mother in law was very helpful. Unfortunately things didn’t get much better at breakfast with a 50 minute wait for my daughters pancakes and when my sons bacon sandwich did finally turn up, it arrived as just a couple of bits of bacon, I gave up at this point and went and got bread, butter and ketchup myself and made the sandwich myself. For a hotel of this standard, I as a guest am expecting to be able to get whatever I want/ need. Unfortunately this is the second year I have failed to get a cream tea. Last year it was they had sold out and it was too late in the day. This year I tried ordering whilst at the deck, where you can get tea and cake, but was told it was a specialty of the hotel. Am I not in the hotel? I asked. Yes was the response. But obviously not the right bit. The room was great and the staff tried, but unfortunately I don’t think the Headland should be calling itself a 5 star hotel anymore. Real shame.

We came to The Headland to enjoy their ‘laze and lunch’ offer for our 10th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed! The facilities are beautiful and clean and big enough to not feel crowded. We were very lucky with the weather on a Thursday midweek and so the spa was lovely and quiet with only a handful of other guests there. You can enjoy drinks from the bar around the pool areas as drinks are served in plastic cups (nice ones though!). We each had a cocktail which was delicious. My husband asked for a dark and stormy which was not on the menu but was made for him nonetheless. After our couple of hours in the spa our offer included a one course lunch and drink in The Deck restaurant. We’d let the team know that it was our anniversary and we were met with a lovely table including a card for us. The service was great, really attentive and speedy, nothing too much trouble. My husband had one of the pizzas from their pizza oven and I had the gnocchi - both really generous portions and so tasty! This offer is such great value for money and I would recommend to anyone! Great for some time out to rest and recharge :-)
