Smarties Guest House

Smarties Guesthouse is a lovely, pleasant place to stay and well located for exploring Newquay on foot. We stayed there with a family of five for three days. Jackie is a wonderful host. She is very welcoming, open and responds immediately to questions. The breakfast was great and she gave us some excellent tips for exploring Newquay. I can definitely recommend this place.

Great place to stay and see everything Newquay has to offer. Jackie, the host was always on hand if we needed and the beer and banana cake on arrival was spot on! Highly recommend.

This was our second year staying with Jackie at Smarties and we’ll be going back again next year. Jackie is a superb host who makes you feel incredibly welcome, the location is so convenient and we love the rooms and breakfasts… we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Newquay now

Superb stay over the Easter holidays. As ever,Jackie was welcoming and laid back. As regulars it was great to see the newly refurbished rooms. We loved the updated family room. Super comfy double bed! The new furnishings give the guest house the feel of a boutique hotel. We will be back!

What a gem this lovely b&b is! Beautifully newly re furnished with modern but homely furnishings. We stayed in a family room with a mega comfortable king size bed & bunk beds. En suite & plenty of room for all. A really comfortable stay with a great host who greeted us with a couple of beers & homemade banana bread! We will definitely return. 5 mins walk into town, beach & supermarket. Local shops, coffee shops 2 mins away.

Upon arrival we were greeted very nicely by Jackie. Who instantly made us feel at home with a cold beer and fresh banana cake. The rooms were exactly as described and everything clean and tidy. We opted for her full English every morning and this was the perfect start to every day with fresh coffe too. She was very friendly every time we saw her asking if we had enough coffee f everything fresh towels loo rolls etc which we always did. We where also able to keep our boards in the garden and hang out wetsuits up every night which made everything so much easier. I wound highly recommend staying here to anyone

11 of us stayed for a the weekend taking in some activities. Five minutes walk from the town and beaches. Jax was a great host, welcoming us with beers and cake. Her knowledge of Newquay and places to eat and drink were spot on. Breakfast each morning was just what we needed to start the day!

We had a lovely stay, welcomed with a drink and a smile. A superbly comfy bed we also like logs! Jackie was a great host, helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to going back. The place is a few minutes walk from town and the beach, easy to find too.

Excellent position: few minutes away from the town centre and Fistral beach. The owner Jackie has been extremely friendly and sweet, welcoming us with banana bread and beers! Also possible to book surf lessons at Newquay Activity Centre. Functional, clean and comfortable rooms. Super recommended!
