Our stay at Boteti Tented Safari Camp in Botswana was truly unforgettable. The beautifully furnished tents are perfectly located right by the river, offering a unique and immersive nature experience. The entire property is thoughtfully designed: a stylish main deck with a pool invites you to relax, while a second deck directly at the water provides complete tranquility and stunning views. We especially appreciated the friendly and attentive staff, as well as the consistently delicious food, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A very special experience for us was showering under the open sky, surrounded by nature, and waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning. The absolute highlight, however, was the mokoro (dugout canoe) trip through the water lily fields at sunset – a truly magical and unforgettable moment. We can 100% recommend this extraordinary place!

I had a week at this lodge and it was PERFECT for my first week in Botswana: quiet, luxurious, good food and a mokoro trip on the river each afternoon. The staff here are 10/10: attentive, friendly. The pool is one of the reasons I booked to stay here and it was the perfect cool down on hot afternoons. Also, fast wifi.

Comfortable bed in a luxury tent. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Staff transported luggage to and from tent. Food was tasty and wait staff attentive to needs. Beautiful setting next to Boteti River. Saw lots of many different animals including lions and a leopard Guide went out of his way to take you to where the animals were, thanks to communication with other guides in the area.

We had an amazing 6-day/5-night stay at Boteti and can’t recommend it highly enough. The tented accommodations were very comfortable, with the added luxury of a private outdoor bathroom (hot and cold water shower and toilet), connected to the tent via a sliding glass door—an ideal blend of nature and comfort. The staff—Syrian, Connie, and the wonderful Dominic leading the team—were absolutely exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Attentive and genuinely caring, they made sure we had every meal at the time that suited us best. One night, we returned late from safari, and they graciously stayed up to serve us dinner. While we didn’t catch the chef’s name, the food was phenomenal! Every meal was delicious, including the packed breakfast and lunch boxes we took on safari—such a treat! The tents and common areas were always impeccably clean, and fresh water was provided daily in our room, which was a thoughtful touch. Our tour guide, Kay, truly exceeded our expectations. His enthusiasm, knowledge of the flora and fauna, and sharp eye made each day’s drive exciting and educational. As a bonus, the safari vehicle had cozy fleece-lined ponchos for those chilly early mornings—such a thoughtful detail. We always felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. This was a memorable experience from start to finish. We would highly recommend Boteti to anyone looking for a top-tier safari adventure

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and professional, making us feel welcome .The accommodation was modern and beautifully styled, with fresh furniture and a clean, new look that gave the space a luxurious feel. The views were great but remember when there is no water in the river like what we experience you will only see local coats, cattle and people at the river. Still it is perfect for relaxing mornings and stunning sunsets. The food was very nice. Every meal was delicious. Overall, it was a perfect getaway stylish, peaceful, and with top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!

We arrived today. Our welcome from Kay at the airport was warm and friendly. Our itinerary had to change (we were informed before about this) due to the lack of rain. Transport to the lodge was fun. We arrived at the lodge to a very lukewarm - who am I kidding - cold welcome. Some apple juice was provided - savour that as you won’t get another drink - NOT EVEN WATER - with a meal. We were shown to our tent NO 4 - as there are 9 tents - and only 2 others occupied - we were very surprised that our tent veranda had no privacy and overlooked the parked cars. We asked to move and they did move us but we had to carry our heavy bags. The lodge is nice. Nothing special. The drawers and storage space in the bathroom is dusty. I wouldn’t want to store anything in them. You get one flask of cold water and one kettle filled with water for tea and coffee. Hot drink ? You make that yourself in your tent. Meals. We were told lunch is not included. Odd as we had it included in our booking AND you literally have no other choice. You are stuck out here. We ordered 2 wraps which were nice and came with a small salad but took about 45 minutes to appear. The evening meal was 3 course. Starter was nice, main traditional Africa style meal, rice, chicken, beans and butternut squash. It was presented nicely and tasty but not delicious. The main issue for us it was cool. Not cold. Cool. Like it had been served up 20 minutes before. Had it been hot it would have been a lovely meal. Desert edible. Again NO water. They gave cups on the counter and we asked do we get and hot drink and were told ‘no go make one in your tent’. For the amount we paid for this portion of our trip to Africa we are shocked. If I can’t get to a shop or another establishment then basics like water should be included. Pool - nice pool with FOUR (place for 18 guests) sun loungers. Towels are provided. Water is nice and hot on shower. There is a body wash provided. Once or twice our requests have been met with a smile. The rest of the time not. We can only hope and pray the rest of the week is better After today I cannot reckoned this place. Kay has been great!!!!
