The Morning Glow - Handwritten Collection

The Morning Glow hotel is really a hidden gem in Nha Trang. Located in the quiet side of the city centre, their lobby at the entrance offers a calm respite from the busy streets, their breakfast area is pleasant and offers a wide selection of continental cuisine. We arrived 2 hours before check in, and seeing as we are a family of 5, they upgrade us from 2 Deluxe rooms (with sea view) to a Junior Suite with a connecting room. The newly renovated rooms are very clean, tastefully done up, and the sea view is absolutely stunning! The standalone bathtub is definitely a plus! We were impressed by their infinity pool, poolside bar, and their small but fully equipped gym. Their service crew is enthusiastic and attentive. This boutique hotel truly has everything a hotel from a larger chain provides. Definitely recommend staying here. We had a great stay here, and hope to return!

Positives: Beatiful decoration, good facilities, comfortable and quiet room with good views, rooftop pool with great views. Negatives: Location is a bit far from the city center, the closest proper beach is 20 minutes walk, the staff could do with some training, both at reception and check out they ask to sit and wait and never follow up, after 15 minutes we had to ask what was going on and they had finished already but never bothered saying anything. The room has a really annoying Chinese Smart Voice system to control lights and curtains which does not work properly, even when it understands what you are saying and it say he did it, sometimes it doesn't actually do it. Or does it after 30s which confuses you. Also it likes to turn on at full volume after a random time when you enter the room (between 1 to 10 minutes) and cannot be turned off or stopped until it finishes it's long intro and music. If you don't want to deal with this system that listens to you all the time, you can unplug it and do things manually.

The room is fully equipped with high-end facilities. However, the AI system needs to be updated, as it functions mainly in Chinese and only partially in English. The staff also need further training to meet 5-star service standards. ☹️

Aesthetically beautiful rooms but lacking in functionality. The standard rooms are very very small for a 5 star hotel, I’m sure the suites are better. The “smart” system is Chinese made trash that works maybe 5% or the time and fails to connect the rest leaving you unable to control the lights. There is a lot of annoying money grabbing rules, the Air Conditioning is locked to above 20 degrees so you can’t get the room as cool as you might want, they ban outside food and drink so no grab, you have to use their overpriced restaurant or drive into town. The views are admittedly very beautiful for both sunrise over the sea and sunset over the mountains and it is well located for the northern marina and angel mountain. The hotel offers average value and a clean, new and beautiful environment but there are many better 4 star offerings in central Nha Trang for less.

Fantastic holiday and super great hotel. Will return back to stay the room again.
