Hotel Gounod Fully Renovated

The TV couldn't connect to the phone, but staff actively assisted and successfully resolved the issue.

The hotel is conveniently located between the train station and the beach. It's small but cozy. The breakfast is excellent, and the staff even prepares some hot dishes on site. Great! The only downside is that the room is a bit small.

The hotel has undergone a complete renovation – everything is new and welcoming. The breakfasts are excellent. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The location is great – close to both the embankment and the train station. The airport is easily accessible by tram – it's a 2-3-minute walk from the stop. The rooms are comfortable, and the bed is comfortable. The toiletries are lovely. The room has a bathtub, for those who appreciate that. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would happily stay here again.

The hotel's location is indeed not comparable to those by the sea, but I like this hotel very much. It is not too far to walk to the old town. The overall decoration is very comfortable, and there are many freshly made choices for breakfast. What surprised me most was their service. Every staff member was very considerate and made me feel pleasantly taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was generally dark. It was fine with sunlight during the day, but a little dim at night. The facilities were complete. The bed was small, two single beds joined together, and there were no bedside tables. The breakfast was good, though the variety was limited, but the egg rolls were delicious. The receptionist needed to use translation software to communicate. Parking is available downstairs for a fee.

We booked a hotel in this price range, but when we checked in, they said they had no regular rooms and gave us a "handicap room" instead?! We couldn't stand up to shower, so we had to squat. The water was cold, and the room was tiny. Is giving us a handicap room justified? We asked for a refund, but the hotel refused. Shouldn't we get a refund or at least some compensation? The staff were also very rude.

It was wonderful. It was very clean. I recommend a room with a bath. You can go to many places within walking distance. The hotel always smelled good near the front desk. They bake bread in the hotel. There was a female staff member who could speak Japanese. I asked this hotel to make a reservation for a local restaurant before I left Japan, and they responded quickly and kindly.

The room was great, and they even gave us a fruit platter and champagne upon check-in.

The room is clean and tidy, the front desk and cleaning staff are very enthusiastic, but the room is small, the lighting is poor, the partitions and decorative panels in the room have a pungent smell, I don't know what materials they are made of.
