Love everything about this hotel except for one important complaint that the pillows are small and lacking support causing neck pain the next day. Please let me know if you offer other pillows and we will definite back !

What a hidden gem! The service is impeccable! We stayed in the special room, it was huge and so comfortable, with our own private tub as well. The dinner was presented beautifully and tasted great! The ryokan has managed to provide excellent service while maintaining privacy as well. They provide a shuttle (please call the hotel directly in advance) to and fro from the Iwamuro train station. Overall, it was a very memorable onsen trip for us!

My wife and I have had a 3-night stay at this Comfort Inn Niigata Chuo Inter Hotel Room #518 from 16 to 19 October 2025. The Hotel is located in the outskirt of the Niigata City Centre and just a 5-km drive walk away. The 5-storey hotel has modest reception on the First Floor, and the hotel staff are polite and helpful, and they are able to communicate in simple English. It also provides free parking for hotel guests at a first-come-first serve basis. So we are grateful and thankful that we had enjoy free parking for 3 days! It also provides free coffee and tea via machines 24 hours daily. As the Hotel is located quite away from the city centre of this small city, so there is no shopping centre nearby except a quite sizeable well stocked Challenger Supermarket that is 350 metres away, and it carries a big varieties of fresh sushi and sashimi for takeaway in good portions and attractive prices, and it tastes as fresh and as good as any restaurant! The hotel room is the standard typical type whereby it is small but very clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable for our liking, and the small bathroom - again the typical Japanese type - is clean and its has strong water pressure for a comfortable shower! At SGD S$81 per night without breakfast, we find it value for money and we will choose to stay here if we travel to Niigata again.

Stop over city for us and it was away from the city centre. Nearby conveniences , I.e. Aeon Mall where you can find some decent eateries and grocery. Good place for transiting.

Close to Furumachi, it's easy to park if you're driving and more convenient for getting around than staying near the station. If you're taking the train, it's a bit further from the station, but still within walking distance.

Access 5-minute walk from Niigata Station Bandai Exit. There is a Lawson nearby. It is on the 4th floor of the building, but there is an elevator so it is easy to get there. System Unmanned. There is a note for each guest posted in front of the door. If you look at it, you can see how to open the door, so it may not be good in terms of security. Amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body soap and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Towels and earplugs are charged. Shoes are prohibited in the bed area. The beds are two-tiered. The entrance is separate and separated by a curtain. There is a futon, a light and an outlet. There is no key. There is a space to store shoes and small suitcases at the feet. I was not sure if there was a valuables locker or a place to store a large suitcase. There is a sofa and three work desks in the public area. The toilets are separate for men and women. The two shower spaces are shared by men and women. There are four sinks. Cleanliness The bed area is very clean. The air conditioning works well. The toilet and shower room are clean, with only a little dust on the ventilation fan and fog on the mirror. Overall If you don't have a lot of luggage and just want to be able to use the shower, bath, and bed, this is a comfortable place to stay.
