Nanaeyae

The hotel is very clean and all staff are extremely friendly. Good quality beef served during dinner and personalized room setting was a surprise. Private open air onsen with good view.

We had the pleasure of staying at Nanaeyae for Christmas Eve. The service we received was impeccable - we felt at ease at all times and were treated as valued customers. The room was absolutely stunning, with a private onsun, stunning view of the landscape and comfortable bed. The dinner was absolutely delicious dinner and we felt so full afterwards. The public bath was also really comfortable with great facilities and a lovely outdoor bath too. Thank you so much again for hosting us, I would highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay at Nanaeyae during autumn. The staff were wonderful throughout and served us delicious meals. We also particularly enjoyed the onsen bath which was well-maintained and invigorating.

Overall good. Quite a number of non-Japanese receptionists and servers.

We had a lovely stay, experiencing aspects of Japanese culture - such as the food, Japanese room and the beautiful onsen. It was further away from the Nikko World Heritage Site than we realised when booking. However, we rather enjoyed the picturesque train ride there each day. The staff were very courteous and we were given gifts on our departure.

Nanaeyae went above and beyond my expectations, from the food, to the room and especially the hospitality from everyone we met there. I highly recommend ordering their in-house sake with the kaiseki dinner - it was absolutely delicious. Very thankful for the amazing stay.

Not so worth the price..view from room was good, location was good, but food not worth for what i paid for, dinner and breakfast served a bit normal, taste normal, when breakfast time i ask for a pack of seaweed(only 2 packs on table), the staff was very loud and replied me 'No No No'! Like I'm requesting addditional main dishes from them, I''m a bit shock this is just a small thing and didn't worth a lot of money, you can just reply me 'we don't provide additional, we have only this 1 small pack for 1 customer' will do right, a bit disappointed on this part. Anyways staff at reception was nice!

The food was very good. Dinners were excellent, served to us in a private room. The outdoor.Onsen Was a pleasure. Travelers should be aware that this hotel is not located near the fabulous temples And shrines of Nikko.  Instead, it takes two local trains to get there. The hotel has wonderful views of the river but the area is overbuilt. So pluses and minuses. The hotel was very strict about its check out policy.
