Nikko Station Hotel Classic Reviews

I chose this hotel because of its location, close to the train station so that was very convenient. Plus, a bus stop to go around the area is just outside. Hotel itself is ok, I didnt have time to visit the onsen so I cannot comment on that. One can see it's not the newest building and inside some parts of it (and e.g. carpets) are quite dated. Nevertheless, I had a good sleep and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was nice, but I also had it once since the day before I left for a trek very early in the morning before it was served.

This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel facilities were complete, the room was clean and tidy, and the hygiene was excellent. The staff were warm and friendly, and responded promptly. The location is great, making transportation very convenient. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Overall a great though slightly more expensive option in Nikko compared to what you could get Very convenient: 5 minute walk to both train stations and the bus stop to go to all of the sites Breakfast was also to Japanese standards, lots of clean and balanced (healthy) options I usually book hot spring hotels, this one was a little pricey considering the baths were pretty sparse and small, though having an outdoor tub was a nice touch Overall: if you’re up for splurging a little (not just a basic hotel room), it’s a decent choice!

The hotel is quite old. There were bugs on the bed and in the bathroom, and the air conditioning was very noisy. It's definitely not worth 1000 a night; I wouldn't recommend booking it.

The location is super convenient, just a three-minute walk to both bus and train stations. The environment is very elegant, and I particularly recommend the hot springs – they were a lifesaver after a hike! The staff are incredibly professional and enthusiastic. ❤️ I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Location is the best, across Nikko station & just 3mins walk from Tobu-Nikko station . Services of front desk & breakfast zone were good. Room was nice with comfortable bed.

Good hotel, right in front of the JR railway station and bus stop number 1 to the Nikko national park and beyond. Room was adequately sized and clean although slightly dated, which was not issue. Breakfast was quite basic. Service was warm and efficient. The availability of an onsen was a big advantage to soak away our fatigue from a long day of hiking

The hotel is a bit old but very clean. The hot spring is also great, not crowded and well-maintained. However, on the last day when checking out, the middle-aged Japanese lady at the front desk was scowling the whole time and spoke in a very aggressive tone. Even ordinary Japanese people wouldn't act like that, let alone someone in the service industry. I don't understand it.

This is amazing! The location next to the train station makes it easy to get to all the attractions. The man working at the reception desk deserves a bonus! He explained everything so well and was very informative. The breakfast is delicious, especially the toast with whipped cream. The rooms are large and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. There's also bottled water in the room. The amenities are excellent too; they provide toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel everywhere. I'd happily return!

The location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Tobu-Nikko Station and a 1-minute walk opposite Nikko JR Station. It's really easy to get to all the attractions by bus, highly recommended! Plus, there's a hot spring public bath.

Close to the train station, making bus travel convenient. The hotel has a hot spring, and we usually went around 3 PM when it was empty, which was very relaxing. Breakfast is provided, and since we're used to Japanese-style breakfasts, it was perfectly fine for us.

The hotel is quite an old set up, most of things in room are dated, my room are 317, the AC motor was so loud I got to of it without using it, the fan in bathroom too. Some how still have some water sound in the quiet night, I didn’t possible to sleep it well, if you are a light sleeper person I don’t recommend this hotel, other then the location are on main road opposite the JR station.

Convenient place. It’s just a 5min walk from the Tobu Nikko station (the station you would arrive in if you rode over from Asakusa). It’s a premium stay that has a public bath. In the rooms you have even lotions and face washes and overall the hotel feels very new. The breakfast that comes with the stay is decent. Had vege curry with rice, hard boiled eggs, salad, bread with jam, fresh milk.  It’s very near the bus station that takes you to most sightseeing areas in Nikko. You should find out about their busses at the tourist information center because the busses are not registered in Google maps!
