Noboribetsu Grand Hotel

The hotel is very close to Noboribetsu Onsen Station and Hell Valley. The rooms are clean, and both the buffet dinner and breakfast were excellent. The hotel's hot spring was also fantastic.

We chose this onsen hotel for our trip to Noboribetsu. It's super convenient, right across from the Noboribetsu Bus Terminal once you get off the bus from Noboribetsu JR Station. We arrived quite early, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They stored our luggage, booked a private onsen for us in the evening, and even called a car to take us to the Bear Park. After our visit, we decided to walk back down, and it wasn't far from the onsen town at all. We had lunch in the onsen town before heading back to the hotel to check in. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's impeccably clean. In the afternoon, we explored Jigokudani (Hell Valley). We opted for the half-board option, and dinner was fantastic – a wide variety of seafood, steak, pasta, BBQ, pizza, and more! After dinner, we relaxed for a bit before enjoying the onsen. The night was very peaceful for sleeping. The breakfast the next day was also great, with the option to make your own seafood rice bowl. I'd definitely come back here again!

The location is superb. I took a bus from Sapporo to Noboribetsu Onsen and the hotel was just a few steps away. The breakfast and dinner buffets were plentiful, with all-you-can-eat crab legs – it was amazing! The onsen water was also very comfortable. I went a bit too early though and didn't get to see the cherry blossoms. I imagine bathing in the hot springs during cherry blossom season would be absolutely beautiful.
