DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh - Queensferry Crossing

The location and view was great. Spacious room. However, service was a bit disappointing. Food advertised as 24h was actually not available after 9:30pm. No snacks. No drinking water in the room which we had to request to bring up. When asking for more water next day, the front desk said they ran out of water.

Room was not cleaned twice on a three day stay. Sheets were not changed even on request and the only compensation was sending fresh towels. They completely refuse to entertain any request as they have cleaners who clock off at 12pm and there’s no person responsible for the rest of the day. Room fridge wasn’t working and the handyman couldn’t fix it so we couldn’t keep anything perishable in room. Staff at the restaurant during breakfast disappears with no one to assist or pick up dishes from tables which only the manager lady tries to do once or twice passing by. Piling up dishes give such an untidy vibe on multiple tables. Dirty mugs placed by the hostess on our table. Room was spacious with lovely view.

Excellent Reception staff, even upgraded our room. Great views on the bridges, 10 out 0f 10.

Bed was dirty full of hairs, tv remote was dirty with dry food stucked, carpet stained and not hoovered properly and one reception staff not responding appropriately when reporting the issues.

I arrived here from Manchester on Christmas Eve, on Christmas Day we had planned our check out, I travelled with my husband and my baby. We had many plans for Christmas however this took a turn. My baby was crawling in the room & one of the legs of the table fell on top on her as it was just holding on and the leg of the table was not screwed on properly. We spent our Christmas in the hospital watching over our baby.

Was given a room with a huge rock blocking my view. Not very friendly at all. The same at the restaurant. The host lied to me about the table with a view I asked about, telling me it was reserved.

The hotel is very new and the room is quite spacious. But it is quite far from the city centre.

40 minutes by bus from princess street , amenities not that good , won’t even get a bottle of water , fire alarm went off at 5 am and woken everyone up and only got an apology
