Premier Inn Nottingham City Centre (Goldsmith Street) hotel

We visited for the England friendly at The City Ground on June 10. The hotel is in a lovely location not too far from the city centre, the train station and a lovely looking arboretum and is very accessible by tram. The reception staff on our arrival were very pleasant and friendly. The bar area was nice but not that well staffed and after a fair wait staff had to be found for us to get served. Our family room was big, well facilitated and clean enough. We all had a comfortable enough nights sleep. However we had not been made aware prior to our stay that the tram, which runs right out front would run into the early hours, and would be every ten minutes or so. This was quite noisy but also shook the room a little and initially kept one of us awake. (Excellent tram service though!) Also and this isn't necessarily the hotel or staffs fault but we could hear some noise from neighbouring rooms and heavy footsteps from the room above. The breakfast was nice with a good assortment of cooked and continental offerings as advertised. Staff were more than happy to help replenish anything once it had gone and the chef brought freshly cooked items out often. The communal hotel facilities were also clean and pleasant enough. Pros - Convenient location, on tram route, and clean enough. Cons- Noise from tram.

Staff very mediocre and food at breakfast not good or hot. Room was typical premier inn style and standard. Well positioned for the Trent university and easy walk to the city centre. Parking that was suggested to us was about a 10 minute walk away

Great location in walking distance of the city centre and a tram stop outside. Really friendly and helpful staff.A short 5 minutes walk into the centre of town! room was spacious and clean! Though a bit noisey due to tram being just outside the hotel. Overpriced parking Avoid the car park I paid £55 just for 2 nights

incredible noise at 8am from the extraction fan in the kitchen I assume, the worst sleep I have ever that in a hotel actually. Further, an elephant was staying above me, stomping at 1am and 6am, unbelievable. I don't need much from hotels, just a quiet rest, but this did not happen.

Brilliant Stay. Can’t fault the staff and the rooms. Good Location close to shops and corner house. Was a tasty hot breakfast could not ask for anything more. I would recommend it to anyone. Ask for a Sheet instead of a duvet when hot makes a difference as no air con

Lovely friendly staff. The breakfast was cooked to order, which was nice. The room was the consistent standard you get from Premier Inn, which is good. But beware of the parking. £27 for the day/night and £2.95 booking fee for arranging the parking myself.
