Gaia Villas

We had an amazing stay at the Gaia Villas in April 2025, the staff were so lovely, available 24/7 and it felt very safe, welcoming and friendly. The place was always immaculate, rooms cleaned daily, turned down, sprayed with mosquito spray and nets opened and placed around the beds. The accommodation offer breakfast with a variety of options all prepared on site. The swimming pool was amazing and definitely a massive hit for us, it was so clean, lovely sun loungers available and floats provided, the pool was also deep enough to dive. We done a lot of activities during the day so this was the prefect place to chill out in the evening. No alcohol is sold on site, however we were allowed to bring our own alcohol into the complex which probably suited us better. We went during rain season and we anticipated a lot of rain, however it rained mainly at night and the staff always made sure the place was lovely and we didn’t notice any issues because of the rain. Overall amazing place, would definitely recommend

We had an amazing restful stay at Gaia Villas. It is a small quiet place, perfect for relaxing with a lovely pool that is kept very clean every day. The villas are large with a separate bedroom with working air con and big mosquito nets. There’s either a terrace or covered balcony to relax on if there’s a short downpour! All of the staff are very friendly and thoughtful. The breakfast and afternoon snacks were really good, we particularly loved the passion fruit jam at breakfast! It is also only a 5 minute walk to the beach, a nice part of Nungwi beach where the sea was great and there are public sunbeds for hire, and plenty of nice bars and restaurants for dinner if you continue north.

We had an amazing stay at Gaia Villas and enjoyed every moment! The villa was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful – a special mention to Issayah, who went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. From arranging transport and tuk-tuks to preparing breakfast a little earlier for our dive trips, they truly made our stay effortless. The location is perfect – just a short walk to the beach, and if you’re diving with Spanish Dancer Divers, you can take a shortcut through a nearby hotel, making it only a 5-minute walk. After our dives, we loved relaxing by the pool, which we almost always had to ourselves. The breakfasts were the best we had in Zanzibar – always fresh and delicious. From amazing bread and breakfast burritos to fresh fruits, juices, and excellent coffee, it was the perfect way to start the day. A big thank you to Tania for the excellent communication throughout our stay! Gaia Villas is ideal for couples or small groups. The location is also great, with small shops nearby offering fair prices, a money changer close by, and tuk-tuks readily available. We’d highly recommend Gaia Villas for anyone visiting Nungwi!

Gaia Villas is an absolute gem. The location is unbeatable, just a 5-minute walk to the beach and close to all restaurants. Once you step inside, you’re transported into a true paradise, lush garden, refreshing pool, and comfortable rooms create a peaceful retreat that’s perfect for unwinding. The breakfast is fantastic, definitely don’t miss it! The owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax in a beautiful, serene setting.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much, due to a rather noisy neighborhood. But as soon as you enter, this place is Z-E-N. An incredible serenity emanates from the vegetation surrounding a central swimming pool. 1000 to 1500 m², that's all, but structured with so much love and patience that it feels much larger. The relaxation here is complete. No lunch or dinner but an excellent breakfast with homemade bread of a quality impossible to find elsewhere. The hostess is welcoming and kind - when my son had an anxiety attack, she naturally offered to take us to the clinic and waited for more than an hour in her car until we came out. Relaxing stay in a secure quiet environment. Small number of units Clean, fresh units. Lovely gardens, and pool, The Brest Breakfast on our trip! Hardly to the beach and restaurants, yet off the main tourist drag. Friendly staff - happy to assist with advice Highly recommended 😀
