The service was extremely, extremely poor! The kind of bad I have never encountered in decades of staying at hotels. There was no housekeeping for the four days we stayed, despite requesting cleaning four times.

The room was pretty good! Just remember to bring your own slippers, as they're not provided. The room is cleaned every two days.

My family stayed here while taking the CA bar exam. The hotel has an excellent location and the service was superb. The rooms are very spacious, and there are Chinese restaurants and small supermarkets nearby. Within walking distance, you can also find convenience stores, pharmacies, and fast food options, which is very convenient.

We could have a breakfast at Starbucks on the ground floor. It was good.

We were at an event at the Oakland Marriott City Center and switched to Courtyard Oakland Downtown (where we only had to cross the street) after the experience at Jack London Inn (not recommended) which although only a 10 minute walk away changes a lot. Spacious room for four, friendly staff, laundry available, breakfast available. Metro very close that takes you to the airport, San Francisco, Berkley ... ... ... Thank you

The hotel is located in downtown Oakland in the San Francisco Bay Area, with Oakland Chinatown downstairs; the 12th Street subway station is right downstairs, and a one-way ticket from 12th Street to San Francisco Airport costs about $12.50 and takes about 50 minutes.

Very quiet and clean with no smoke smell. The only downside is that disposable toothbrushes are not provided. 🪥

The front desk service was absolutely terrible. They made us wait for an hour in the middle of the night and wouldn't let us leave our luggage in the front desk room first. I can have my friend deposit money at any other hotel, but they wouldn't let him.
