It's a very typical Japanese hot spring hotel, old but comfortable. The airport transfer service, hot springs, breakfast and dinner were all perfect. We walked along the mountain road to the seaside. The scenery was so beautiful that it cannot be described in words. What was particularly great was that during dinner, the auntie saw that we liked the paper towels under the plates and very thoughtfully rolled new ones for us. It was so heart-warming despite the language barrier. It was the best experience of this trip. . It's a pity that I don't know her name. I hope I can say thank you to her. I will go again in the summer if I have the chance!

It's a very old hot spring hotel. The dinner was very special and delicious. Because we left very early the next day, we didn't know how the breakfast was. We look forward to getting to know it better next time we come back. I highly recommend them.

I stayed at the Oga Kanko Hotel while in Akita attending the Namahage Festival. By it's outward appearance, the hotel feels like it's from another era. It's older and the building seems to have lived through the by-gone days of Japan's Bubble Jidai. So, I'd ask that you not judge the hotel on it's outward appearance because the staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful, the dinner course was really tasty, the sake selection superb, and the onsen divine. The rooms are well heated and the beds very comfortable. The shuttle service from the station to the hotel, and from the hotel to the festival (and, back) were great. I plan to come to the Namahage Festival next year and will absolutely stay at Oga Kanko.

We stayed here on a tour of the Oga Peninsula and Tsugaru Peninsula. Although the building is old, it was well maintained and I had a comfortable stay. The room was a Japanese-style room, but the chairs and table in the back were also Japanese-style, giving the impression that it was quite spacious overall. Outside the window, I could see Mt. Kanpu in the distance. The public bath is not large, but I was able to enjoy the hot spring water. The open-air bath seemed a little lukewarm, but I don't know if it's permanent or seasonal. The dinner was not luxurious, but it featured Oga's specialties and the taste was good. The waiter was also kind and explained the dishes. The damakojiru hot pot was delicious, and it was fun to watch them make Oga's famous stone-grilled sea bream kamajiru live. And it was very delicious. The local sake was delicious and we had a pleasant evening. There is a Gofu theater nearby, where you can enjoy a Namahage Taiko performance for 600 yen. This performance was powerful and was a good after-dinner event. There was a shuttle bus transporting guests from distant hotels, so it was nice to have a hotel close by.

The rice was delicious, the food was pleasing to the eye, and the taste was very satisfying! The children didn't have enough kaiseki meals, so they ordered a la carte dishes such as fried chicken and fried bacon and potatoes, but the portions were large and the children were very satisfied. My mother-in-law, who is disabled in her legs, was provided with a chair in the Japanese-style room, and was able to enjoy her time there. Although our stay included an aquarium, we were able to change to an Oga premium ticket, and the next day we were able to go to various places, and it was a wonderful trip. Thank you for your kind service at the front desk and the shop. It's one of the places I would like to visit again.

Although it is a bit old, the rooms are well maintained. Accommodation costs are reasonable, and the hot springs are free-flowing, so you can see the ocean from the observation bath. The food is nothing special, but it is rich in local flavor and very delicious. Be careful not to eat too much! The white rice was especially delicious. It's a very good hot spring.

The scenery from Mt. Kanpu and Nyudozaki is spectacular. You can actually experience Namahage at the Namahage Museum and the Oga Shinzan Denshokan 👹 The staff at Tsubaki, the inn where I stayed, were very kind. I want to go again.

This is a hot spring hotel located in Oga Onsenkyo. The building is aging, but there are no problems. The hot spring water is very good, and the bathhouse where the hot spring water remains in a concentrated manner gives a very good atmosphere. The food was also delicious.
