There is no reception or service at this hotel. There is a restaurant downstairs, but it was closed during our stay. They simply send you a code for self check-in. Make sure to double-check your room, as they initially gave us a different room from the one we booked, though they changed it quickly after we contacted them. One tip — visit Kirkjufellsfoss early in the morning. There is almost nobody there, and you can enjoy the whole mountain completely to yourself.

Excellent location by the port. Originally called Welcome Apartments, it is now called Hotel Vest Mar; ended up spending a good half an hour figuring that out. The onsite parking makes it quite convenient to carry luggage up and down, however there is no lift at the property, so be prepared. Would definitely recommend if you plan to spend at least some time indoors as the room is immaculate, with lot of space.

Good location quite and clean. The only problem is we booked a room with kitchen but the first one we got has no kitchen in it, called the hotel and get the 2nd room which has the kitchen.

Imagine a hotel without a receptionist, and people put down the telephone at the number given, while you are desperately trying to get your room number and access code - just 10 minutes before closing time. I won't ever use it again, even if I have to pay more elsewhere.

It comes with a fully equipped kitchen. Room is spacious. The so-called 24/7 assistance phone line was unanswered 8 out of 10 times! The posted check in time is 1500 but the actual check in time was 1600. The extra 1 hour wait was hellidh in howling wind and pouring rain. No service to speak of, since the phone was unanswered.

We liked the apartment on the beautiful Snæfellsnes peninsula. The apartment was well equipped with a small kitchen, and there was also a coffee machine and a toaster. The beds were comfortable, there were cupboards, and a pull-out couch next to the seating area. There was enough space for the three of us. However, we did not receive the access code from Trip.Com. The landlord did not respond to our email request. There was a telephone in the stairwell with a telephone number, a piece of paper, and a pen. We called and received the number code straight away. The house looks like a former office building, and our view from the window was of the parking lot. The bed linen was clean, but looked worn. Please replace it. There is a restaurant, pharmacy, groceries, and a bathroom nearby. Unfortunately, we did not see any fresh fish directly from the fisherman.
