Great for families with children which makes this hotel noisy and agitated.
Friendly service.
The food is well prepared and tasty.
Location 600 m from the beach.
They should avoid using placemats at the table: they are not exchanged between guests, which is very unhygienic.

Reception staff are fab especially Anna (?) Food is often tepid, some mornings, evenings some of the foods we're cold and I mean cold. Not a huge choice of food options for a 4* Room was huge with separate lounge and full kitchen. Bathroom good shower excellent, but extractor fan inadequate. We stayed 7 nights from 24/12 there's no heating in the communal areas so all the corridors are very cold. Running track and field events section, gym, tennis court and 2 paddle tennis courts. The pool is Baltic freezing and only saw one person in all week, they got out after 20 seconds shivering. The entertainment room has no bar you have to wander back through dining. It's a small room for a hotel of this size. One night kids rep was holding a disco, rowdy group of teenagers on the pool table, table football and a TV on, it just wasn't relaxing or entertaining. The surrounding area was very nice, but most hotels and apar**ents are closed November, December and January so not much else to try for a change of scenery. If I'd visited in summer then obviously some of bugbears would not be there. 3.5 from me mainly due to poor food.

Overall we had a really lovely stay. The first few days were slightly dampened due to a sporting event happening and the hotel being overtaken with students. Who were at times fairly rude in the restaurant and entertainment. Making it feel less family friendly. However the second half of the stay was lovely. The staff were all super friendly and work hard. Toddler pool is away from main pool but I saw this as a good thing as my toddler could just play about without being followed constantly. Albeit probably could do with a spruce up. The rooms were great with nice facilities. The food was good with a variety of different dishes. My only criticism is allergies weren’t clear. Especially on the dessert table. So we either didn’t have any or stuck to the fruit (nut allergy sufferer) If you’re into fitness it’s a brilliant hotel. Husband made good use of the gym and if it wasn’t for an injury would have been on the running track daily.

The hotel experience was very good in general. But the best was João, he is thoughtful, including and comes up with great activities. He is the best! Other than that, the food is good, it is close to the beach and a supermarket and it is in a great area to take walks.

We stayed a week with the team at Victoria Sports & Beach Hotel and can honestly say we had the best, most relaxing holiday ever and that's saying something seeing as we travelled with a 5 & a 7 year boy! The staff were super lovely and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them including fixing 5yo's shoe! The food was varied and tasty with a mix of fish and meat and vegetables. The cheeseboard was a lovely treat. There were a variety of activities to participate in and we even had a go on the running track and tennis courts. We had the best time and cannot thank the staff enough. My two want to move to Portugal now!
