We had a really good experience during our one night stay at Rubens. And the breakfast was really good. Really couldn’t fault anything.

Nice hotel, clean and 20 minutes from the center. Small downside: access to the indoor swimming pool for a fee and in the morning at breakfast time the background music is too loud despite my request to turn down the sound.

The breakfast buffet lacks natural juices and healthier foods, since there was a lot of sweets. Missing wardrobe in the room

The room soundproofing is very poor

The experience was quite bad in general, we arrived around half past three in the afternoon and they told us that our room was not ready yet due to a problem. We were told to go to the bar to wait while our room was prepared. Coincidentally the room was right across from the bar and we could see if they were doing anything in it. After spending an hour sitting in the bar and seeing that they did nothing, I went to the reception to complain and they told me again that there was a problem, when I asked to be given another room they told me that they did not have one. I went back to the hotel bar to wait, and finally saw that they started making it. Even knowing that I was waiting, they didn't rush at all, and they kept me sitting waiting for more than half an hour. In total I had to claim my room once, wait over an hour and a half for it to be ready, and check in at six in the evening. The cleanliness of the room left something to be desired, and its location more, it was in front of the bar and next to the dining room, so at night and in the morning you heard the people who came in for dinner or breakfast, you couldn't open the doors either. blinds to let in light because everyone in the room saw you, and you couldn't open the windows to ventilate for the same reason. All the while with the room in darkness and the light on. From the experience we had, I would not recommend the hotel at all, due to the inconvenience caused, they did not have the slightest detail. Perhaps if we hadn't had problems entering and another better located room we would have had a better experience, since the hotel facilities were well maintained. We will certainly not repeat.

We were given an upgrade to the suite, which was great, of course. The hotel is lovely, aretreat in a quiet area and yet within walking distance to Porto center. Breakfast was good. Outside swimming pool a nice cooling down after a warm day.

Quiet, nice facilities but the breakfast buffet wasn’t worth 18€.

Outdoor pool for hot days amazing, restaurant with tasty food and drinks. we bought a boat trip to the 7 bridges, the reception arranged the trip for us. room very clean, we stayed for 4 days and the room was already clean when we arrived
