"-I wished I had read the previous review before going there ,as I had serious stomachache one night after dinner.. Food and especially was indeed very average. Most of the pastries and else on the morning buffet are industrial and tasteless. -Comfort in the rooms is more than average . A bed of 160cm wide in a huge room??? why not putting a 180cm like any luxury hotel in the world. Dont try to turn off the main bedroom lights when you are in bed, they put the switch as far away as possible ?? Why?? - Talking about the lights, the entire hotel (rooms, restaurant, hallways, bathrooms, etc..) are equipped with this horrendous white light bubs (4000K ) , you feel like you are in a hospital. Dreadful.. - Dont try to lay down quietly on pool side, we will be just next to the main building where thay have the huge kitchen extractor fan and machinery. They didn t bother to enclose it in a local or put it somewhere else . So basically you have this loud humming sound , non stop... - Prices... Everything is completely overpriced for a hotel which pretends to be "luxury". The 5 star rating is a farce. - The good things are the location of the hotel, the river where you can swim and canoe along. An overall very overpriced and underwhelming experience."

He is always present and careful to the well-being of guests, careing for everyone with a care and dedication that really make the difference. The breakfast is spectacular, delicious and prepared with all care, and the spa is simply fantastic perfect to relax and enjoy this wonderful place even more. One of those places where we were willing to stay longer, and certainly a repetitive experience. We'll return!"

"A cozy space that welcomed us for a bachelorette party dinner. The staff were friendly and approachable. We had a room by ourselves, and everything went well. The food was very good, including homemade desserts. The only thing missing was good weather to use the pool."

"Our friends suggested we eat here as its somewhere they have been before. Set in beautiful grounds Hotel Rural Quinta da Geia is very pretty. We had booked in advance but it was quite quiet tonight. They have a menu of the day or a selection of other delicious options. All of the food we had was tasty and cooked just to order. We would definitely return and highly recommend."
