If I had a book with 50 pages I could fill it with faults that we experienced. Never again. The apartments had mould in the bathroom on the tiles and the walls. The chopping board in the kitchen was green with mould. We had to constantly ask for fresh towels and for our apartment to be cleaned when it stated on line they are cleaned daily.

The Antas Deluxe Apartments were very probably deluxe when they first opened but it’s a bit too much to describe them currently as deluxe. Having said that, we had a lovely holiday for 10 nights this October. This is the first season that the current owners have traded. They have got an awful lot right but there is definitely room for further improvements. Negatives: The Wi Fi provision needs to be looked at as it keeps drifting in & out. There are 3 different Wi Fi connections that can be accessed with the same password, but none are really reliable. The bar closes about 7/8pm. There were some guests that very rarely ventured out of an evening. The owners should consider keeping the bar open until much later to cater for these guests. There is a seating area at the hotel reception and although the night manager was quite happy to run down to the bar to get us a drink, I think it would be more enjoyable to have a drink at the bar rather than just sitting in the reception area. The owners should consider introducing a range of snacks such as crisps & nuts. They should also consider installing a freezer where ice lollies could be sold. We often fancied an ice lolly during our stay, as did other guests we spoke to. There is a menu for food such as soups, pizzas, sandwiches, and other stuff. We had an omelette on a couple of occasions that was lovely. More sunbeds could be located on the grassed areas above & behind the pool. My final gripe would be their cleaning routine. During our time there, I am not sure if the apartment was cleaned more than once. We had to ask for it to be cleaned and for the towels & the bedding to be changed. They did empty our waste bin a couple of times but most of the time I took our rubbish down to the bins located near the pool area. Positives: Despite the above points, we absolutely loved our holiday. So much so that we have already booked to return next October. The staff will run to the ends of the earth for you to attend to any issues you might have. John, the reception manager is such a humble chap, always smiling and happy to help with anything you may ask of him. He booked taxis for us each evening and was always asking if everything was ok and could he help us in any other way. Yohan (hope I have spelt that right) ran the bar area. He was a great host; nothing was too much bother for him. He introduced us to his wife & lovely little girl, Zara. He told me that as long as it was possible, I could ask him for anything I wanted, and he would try to make it happen. The other young men (one was called Taco but I didn’t get the others names, sorry) who worked there were just as helpful & always smiling. From my apartment, I watched them clean the pool each day. The cleaners were there every night or morning to sweep the areas around the pool and to wipe down the thick sunbed mattresses. There were only 20 sunbeds so although we had no trouble finding a one to use, I would imagine this would be a major

Stayed here with my 2 children for a week. On arrival I upgraded to a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was spacious and clean on arrival, although a little dark. The pool area was clean, the boys were in the pool everyday. We could always get a sunbed round the pool however, I expect this would be more difficult during peak season. Pool table free to use. Bar served snack menu and a massive range of drinks. All of good quality and very reasonably priced. The staff were amazing, very welcoming and friendly. Always asking if we needed anything and if everything was ok. The only negative for us would be the cleaning of the apartment. We had to ask for clean towels, clean bedding and the bins to be emptied. I don’t think the apartment was actually cleaned at all during our stay. However, this wouldn’t put us off returning, it’s in a good location approximately 15 minute walk into town and 100 lira for a taxi back. We enjoyed our week here.

We stayed here for 6 nights and thought the location nestled in the mountains backdrop was great. The grounds and pool was nice and nearly always found a space on the sun loungers. Pool table and ping pong table was fun and food and drinks were okay, reasonable from the bar. The staff were very friendly and always available to help order taxis etc. we booked our holiday late and got a ground floor two bedroomed apartment which was quite dark and the balcony looked over the small play area so didn’t get to see the sunsets, or sunrise . The air conditioning was great in the living room and main bedroom which had two single beds pushed together and were very comfy. The second bedroom did not have air conditioning and the mattress was quite uncomfortable. The bathroom was okay but whenever the shower was used the floor around the toilet was wet. The shower never really warmed up which was actually fine on hot days. The housekeeping was great with new towels and emptied bins. The WiFi did not work in the apartment but okay around the pool and reception area. Great as a base for the area with some lovely eating venues close by and a small supermarket down the hill. Overall we had a great week and it was a nice quiet venue with helpful friendly staff. Good for budget accommodation and I am sure if we had a higher balcony/ apartment we would have benefited from the location more.

Stayed last week ....lovely hotel and staff so friendly and helpfull nothing was a bother for them. Bar food was lovely and very reasonably priced as well as drinks great pool 10 min walk to main shops ..rooms are basic but very clean ..perfect views . Only thing is 20 sunbeds for 30 rooms so if you weren't down early you got no bed annoying when towels on beds and they lay empty for hours we had a fab time last week

I feel it is important to write about these apartments due to the negative comments i have read. This has, quite honestly, been one of the best holidays i have had. It was so relaxed, with no pressure of times for meals. We ate what and when we wanted. The facilities are basic and there does not appear to be a standard provision of cutlery, crockery etc in each apartment, but you only have to ask for what you need and they are so happy to help. This is a family business and they all work very hard. Self catering means just that, you look after yourselves. Clean towels, bedding or cleaning of room are provided on request, the latter by leaving your key at reception. Admittedly, the door hanger asking for room cleaning does not seem to work, but if you were in a caravan or other rental in U K you would not have it cleaned for you. I took cleaning wipes for kitchen and bathroom, the only thing lacking is a brush and dustpan or mop so i could clean the floor of crumbs etc. It is perfectly positioned for local food shops in ovacik some of which will deliver, so essentials such as 5 litre bottles of water and bottles of Efes can be brought in bulk! Fresh bread and pastries are available hot from the oven at local bakers. There are many places to eat in ovacik or it is definitely walkable to and from hisaranou, although a taxi is only £3. Luxury it may not be, but you are not paying luxury prices. If you are looking for a relaxing, stress free holiday this is the place.

We arrived at the apartments at 2pm and yes our room wasn’t quite ready they explained they had been extremely busy but we were given free drinks and food and only had to wait 30 mins they then carried all our cases up the stairs to our room for us. We had full cutlery plates frying pan and sugar salt and hand wash and loo rolls provided in the bathroom and were pleasantly surprised due to all the negative reviews. The air con didn’t really cool down the other areas apart from the bedroom but I asked for a fan and a massive fan was provided 5 mins after asking and my son slept extremely well sometimes feeling a little cold. We kept all the curtains closed during the day and when we returned to our room and turned the air con on it was lovely and cool. The views are absolutely stunning from the balcony. The walk into Hisarano takes 10 mins tops or a 3pound taxi ride. No you can’t walk to the beach or to Olu deniz or Fethiye but for 47p per person on an air conditioned bus which you catch at the bottom of the road I think that’s bloody marvellous. There are a few restaurants you can eat at at the bottom of the hill/road and are lovely. As we as a family have never been to turkey before this was an extremely pleasant experience helped by the extreme friendliness of all staff at the apartments and how nothing was ever too much trouble. As for the pool not being cleaned as an early riser I watched them every day cleaning the pool and doing the chlorine checks and the lady wiping every Sunlounger down and brushing the pool area. We had no issues with sunloungers until day 8 as more large families had arrived and you had to then be up early to get one so yes prob a good idea for them to add more sunloungers to maybe the grass area near the pool. I didn’t witness any staff members sleeping where I could see and no rubbish anywhere what so ever . Yes down the round is a massive bin with rubbish on the floor but hello this is a foreign country and you get that. We met some lovely other family’s on our 12 day stay and are definitely returning agin. Thanks everyone at Antas for making our stay so enjoyable and good luck with the future.

Just arrived from a 11 night stay at Antas, after seeing some recent reviews I was very on edge on what to do but we decided to just go with it and see what was what, upon arrival we got there was greeted and shown to our room, yes there a little dated but has what you need for a holiday we don’t go on holiday to spend time in our room apart from showering and sleeping so it meet all our needs, yes there was a few minor hiccups but please bare in mind this is family run and they have only taken on this property this season so it’s all new for them and they are having to find there feet, every member of staff was so pleasant and would do or help in any way possible so please ask rather than assume. To have your room cleaned you have to hand your key into reception so please bare that in mind!! There were things missing from our room if we wanted you make full use of the self catering option but it wasn’t an issue for us as we didn’t need what others may, for example cutlery was very limited but others had no issue and I know if I would of raised this it would of been rectified no problem. As for the negative comments I think need to actually think what you have paid for??? Don’t expect 5 star for 3 star pricing, we could not of got a weeks break in the main holiday places of the uk for what we paid for 11 nights here, there is things that needs improving at this complex but imagine being a family taking on a business that needs work it all costs money and for them this is there first season and while we were there it seems they had a few things that needed fixing unfortunately so all costs for them, they need to earn money to make the modifications just like we would back home. We had a great time meet some great family’s but most of all no sun bed wars although sun beds are very limited, I do think it may be an issue now as on our last day it seemed a lot more busier so we got out just in time I think, the views from this hotel of the sunset is second to none most nights we stayed on the balcony to wait the sun go down. These apartments are at the high end of ovacik and can be very steep to walk to if you have walking problems and in the heat, we used to walk down into hisaronu which would take around 10 minutes to the end of the ***** and get a taxi back costing us 90 lira so pennies really, there is some near by restaurants to use of a night we used a number of them for nights we didn’t want to go into hisaronu. Now for some things I would recommend for the owners to thing about for next season maybe but to help them more for business, they could definitely do with selling snacks such as crips, biscuits and ice creams as this would help them massively as well as kiddies, more sun beds could do with being purchased, refilling of soft drinks and a few more options of fruit juices for example, apple and pineapple juices, maybe an option of buying bigger bottled water for using in apartment for kettles ect as walking the hill with a number

Outside area full of overflowing bins & rubbish. Has to use taxis as was not as close as was told to hisoronu. Rooms:dirty, bathroom filthy, toilet disgusting only had air con in bedroom not in lounge area where bed settee was. Did not recieve clean towels or bedding unless asked for at reception( we found clean bedding in wardrobe and changed it ourselves) no cleaner for entire 10 days, we found bleach under stairwell and cleaned ourselves which is a safety hazard for children as easily reached! Punch hole in bedroom door, staff sleeping on sofas in walway to pool every night. Tables not cleaned in bar area which was covered in flies! Overall very dirty place to stay as we have visited turkey for 14 years but will be a long time before returning, very dissapointed as 3 star review is not true be lucky to be a 1 star

…Antas 'not so delux' apartments Firstly the people at the accommodation were very friendly and helpful when approached and we were helped on arrival with our cases to our room up two flights of stairs. The location is great for a relaxing holiday with spectacular views and setting. However the three star rating given by Jet2 in my opinion was overly generous. The complex itself was mostly clean and tidy and well laid out. However the furniture in our room number 606 appeared very old and dated. The sofa bed for the kids was not very comfortable at all and there was only one air-conditioning unit in the one bedroom apartment located in the bedroom itself so the area where the sofa bed was located was extremely hot at night despite keeping the bedroom door open. In addition to this the curtains bizzarly did not cover the whole width of any of the windows so it was difficult to keep the sun out during the day and you were guaranteed a nice bright wake up call at sunrise. Continuing with the air-conditioning unit the condensation water pipe lead to a container made from a large water bottle with a hole cut into it and was located under the sink. This was only only discovered when it began to overflow flooding the living area floor. Nobody told us of this ridiculous set up/ solution and the need to empty regularly and judging by the condition of the sink units which had warped and swelled due to past water contamination this was not the first time it had happened. They really need to rectify this. This brings me to the quality of the furnishings which as mentioned were old and dated. The kitchen units as stated were particularly bad with damaged work top area edging /panels and kick boards and electrical socket which had previously been melted by use of the heating plates (not by us I hasten to add). The light in the bathroom unit did not work and had elect wire exposed on top. The bathroom furniture itself again was old/ dated. The location of our room was set at the front overlooking the pool and being on the second floor provided lovely views. The rooms set at the side of our building would have been disappointing had we been allocated one as their view was of a fence and trees and the ground floor rooms at the front, their out side area provided no privacy at all when people were sat outside. The cleaning regime of the rooms was not communicated to us, in as such you had to leave the key with them at the front desk to have it cleaned and fresh towels provided. Simple instructions on the inside of the front door would have solved alot of issues instead of finding out haphazardly. The cleaning itself was adequate but the floor remained dusty and was unsure if it was ever mopped. Some areas such as side units were still showing signs of past guests and had obviously not been wiped down. The facility's at the complex were good with a good selection of food and drinks from the bar. There was a pool table and table tennis available with what looked to

Staff were really friendly and helpful, a great atmosphere. Check in was smooth and efficient. Rooms are as I expected, run down and dated. Bathroom needs refurbishing, beds are solid, the freezer was full of ice and did not freezer properly and furniture in general as well as decor was dated and run down. Pool area big enough and friendly guys working there(the young boy is adorable). Change mattresses on sun bed as they get scorching hot. Close enough to walk in to town and cheap to get a ra I back as the hill walking back is a killer.

Great place to stay. We stayed there for a week at the end of May/beginning of June, in a 2 bed apartment. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We caught taxis down to Oludeniz every day (costs between £3-5 per trip). There is a taxi button across the road from the hotel so very convenient. The pool was very nice, although a minimum of 1.5m so children will benefit from an inflatable or board to enjoy it. There is a shop and 2 restaurants within 10 minutes walk. My son liked the chickens and cats roaming around. We would recommend it as being a great value place to stay and would choose it again.

My son and I enjoyed our stay here. The 1 bed apartment we were allocated was basic but reasonably well equipped and clean and had a small balcony . Both the owner and the small team of staff were helpful and friendly. The pool area was quite nice. Basic snack/meals are available from the bar. The property is located on a hill, so therfore a downhill walk into Hisaronu, the uphill walk back is a bit more taxing. For budget accommodation this apartment complex was more than adequate.

Stayed for two weeks at the end of August 2022 as a family of 4. Having been to this part of Turkey before we was aware that some complexes/hotels are a little dated and this was the case with the Antas Deluxe Apartments. Greeted by the owner (Sedat) on arrival and assisted to apartment, where it was quickly apparent you will need air conditioning during your stay as the rooms are roasting in the summer. BE WARNED - Air conditioning is an additional charge and a WHOOPING £200 for two weeks (£100 per week) plus £20 (£10 per week) for a security safe. We was expecting a surcharge for both items but this charge was double that of any info we could find online before leaving the UK, I therefore concluded the cost was made up by the owner, paid the money and got on with enjoying our holiday. Solar panels are on the roof of each building (x3 buildings in total) so not sure how this cost is justified. All English tourist got stung with the same charge (or alternatively baked) not sure about other nationalities. This aside the grounds are well maintained, swimming pool area is ok (ish) but in need of improvement in particular the chill out room which consisted of stored pool furniture and a petrol lawn mower which is ever so slightly dangerous when trying to play table tennis in a restricted space. Bar area good (both lower and upper bars). Food - we did not pay for breakfast, snacks are basic as there is no menu so cheese toasty, omelette or burger (burgers are awful), plus a Turkish (continental style) breakfast they provide to customers who have paid for breakfast in advance as a B&B package. No food or drink, including water (specific to food or drink not purchased from the bar) is allowed around the pool area and a great big sign (pool side) advises you of this point. In terms of the rooms - bedrooms (x2) good, beds comfortable, dining and living area fairly basic, toilet and shower cubicle are poor, apartment cleaned daily (beds made, floors swept), linen and towels changed every 3 days. Upon review we decided to have very few days at the swimming pool (a couple of hours here and there) and generally limited the amount of time we spent at the complex and instead decided to go out and explore, what is a beautiful and stunning region. The apartment complex is fine if you eat out and use the pool on occasion. Would I stay again - NO WAY, my 9 year old son rather amusingly called the place - The Antas 'Un-Deluxe' apartments, which kind of summaries the establishment perfectly. Brits do return to this place but I can only assume this is because they stayed when the place was modern and have built up a relationship with the owner and staff over a number of years.
