Pet-friendly Hotels in Omachi

Fantastic hotel. Location is in a beautiful forest, with views of the snowcapped alps. 10min driving to restaurants or mountain viewpoints, trailheads. Staff is flawless, amenities over the top (swimming pool, onsen, gym, etc), good breakfast too. The best value for money we got during 1 month staying in Japan.

We returned to Ogizawa Station from Kurobe Dam, which was like another world, and headed to the KAI Alps, where we were staying for the day. The parking lot is immediately after entering from the entrance that I have seen several times in pamphlets and guidebooks. There is a building with a gangi-style public space behind it, and the back of it was a lodging building and a hot spring. The room had a nice loft, but I personally thought it would be better without the loft because it would give a more open feeling. The customer service, food, and hot springs were just like Hoshino Resorts, and it was definitely a wonderful hot spring inn, including the comfort. My favorite spot is the room with the hearth. I left my room and entered this building in the public space. I was able to have oyaki, and I heard that warm sake will be served near dinner, so I stopped by again. It was fun to talk with the elderly person in charge, and after drinking more than an aperitif, we headed to the dinner venue.

Breakfast was superb. Good variety. Free coffee provided at lobby which soothes the crave for travellers dying for one as it is difficult to get one. Location is great as it’s just 2 mins walk to bus and train station. Only 5 mins walk to supermarket and duty free shop.

From JR Matsumoto Station, take a 60-minute ride to Shinano-cho, and there is a high-speed bus to the direction of the fan. You can get off at the ”Omachi-cho Onsen” in the middle of the road and get to the hotel in 2 minutes. It is very convenient. If you are going to Shangri-Lao Kurobe on the next day and heading straight to Toyama City, you can arrange large baggage, which is very convenient from the Kurobe Tourist Hotel to the hotel in Toyama. The most impressive are the two buffets, including dinner and breakfast, great value and great taste. The facilities of the hot springs are also very complete. It is worthy of praise.

The meal is not only a room meal, but I had a kaiseki dish in a private room. Breakfast was a buffet style at the convention hall and it was satisfactory here. Nice place for one night stay before going the alpen route, close to the nearest convenient store from the station(i.e. the closest one is 10min away from station XD) the staff is very nice, has warm water in toilet and washing area. The room has a kettle of hot water, tower, tooth brush set, and anything you need for a night, surprised that the kettle is still keeping the water hot drinking water after a whole night and I don't need to get the water again in the morning. sorry that the photo was taken in late night and may look a bit dark, it's better than it looks
