Omisalj Hotels with Airport pickup service

I have read many reviews about hotel and I can see why they go from 1 to 5 stars. So I'll try to separate it as much as possible to show my take on pros and cons. Hotel - has excellent location, near beach. It has playroom for kids with animators, big restaurant and nice bar. There are 3 big mostly shaded parking slots for your car. Annex to hotel where we were stationed needs renovation. Elevator screeches while going up and down, once it smelled like it has caught fire, doors were literary scratching while opening. Rooms are obviously old. Room – we have taken Comfort room. What you pay is what you get in terms of room benefits, but again, it needs renovation. Lock was moving back and forth while trying to unlock and they are loud when opening, it has some stains on walls, bath has old mold in it, which can only be physically removed. Beds are really uncomfortable. Furniture is simply old. Restaurant – it is big, there is room for everyone. You can sit indoors or on big balcony with mini playground for kids. Our biggest “fight” was to get child seat as there are not as nearly enough of those. We have had half board. Food is not the best but it is not bad either. There are always at least 15 different choices to pick from, and for the most part it is really tasty. Fact is that I have eaten excellent veal, but scrambled eggs next morning were bad. I did not believe you can mess up scrambled eggs, but someone has managed. They refill eaten food fast and often. Advice: either be the first one at the meal ( in other words 20 minutes before opening) or come at least half hour later. Coming at the first minute of opening means you will wait a lot, as people wait in big line. Additional note: in other reviews many have complained that restaurant is unorganized. I disagree. There are two lines for same meals but people (guests) are simply ignorant as.holes. Once grandpa was asking his granddaughter which gnocchi is watching her and they were picking ones which were watching her ( that lasted couple of minutes with 50 decent people waiting to get those gnocchi). Second time 40 ( forty) year old child was arguing with his mother if he should eat salad. Last one I promise, guy in front of me had only 3 pieces of meet left to pick from. He was picking waaaay too long, and then he was slowly moving chosen one in zig-zag line to corner to pick it up. Staff – staff is pleasant and helpful, but you can see on most of them that this is their first or second season. They are simply not as agile as more seasoned workers, but they try and do everything with smile on their faces.

I'd recommend the housekeeping to check the villa before check-in for the technical issues. We had a technical problem with hot water due to boiler malfunction and therefore couldn't take a normal shower in the evening and in the morning. Also I'd recomment the HR and management to do better prescreening of your hospitality staff at the check-in desk for suitability for working with clients. In our case check-in desk Alma or something similar (duty manager) didn't show professionalism and was not very friendly and helpful solving the technical problem with the villa #80 (on night stay during 8.6 - 9.6.24) (boiler broke and didn't give hot water water, so we couldn't take a shower). We asked for a compensation due to this problem, but she directly refused giving any compensation, referring to financial rules of the hotel company and furthermore didn't offer any solution that would help to resolve the issue. Just said that we could write a complaint to the sales department, and ”may be” they will consider some compensation. As a guest I had to take the initiative and offered a solution of extending our check-out time, which luckily worked and we were offered to move to another villa and check-out time was extended. Not talking about that this particular solution was not good enough. Just mentioning that the level of hospitality was by far not reaching the industry standards. Apart from these issues, our stay was great and we had a good time.

Waren schon oft in Malinska - aber so ein „Hotel“ meinen Empfindungen habe ich noch nie erlebt. Preis/Leistung stimmt null. Die Zimmer so klein, dass man überlegen muss wer zu erst am Bett vorbei gehen darf und wer nicht. Sitzmöbeln werden nicht angeboten, da ja ohnehin kein Platz wäre…. Nix - kein Sessel oder Sofa. Im “Badezimmer“ ist zwar alles vorhanden, jedoch auch kein Platz. Ein Schritt rein und man steht bereits am WC an. Links Waschbecken und Rechts Dusche.🙈 Auch sucht man vergebens einen richtigen Kleiderschrank oder Garderobe oder wenigstens Wandhacken o.ä. Von draußen ist es vom Parkplatz laut und man hat absolut keine schöne Aussicht. Apropo Parkplatz, ab 7€ - 15€ darf man in der Nähe des Hotels Parken sowie liegen am Meer mit Sonnenschirm um 20€. Abzocke pur! Den Lift hört man bei jeder Bewegung, ein ständiges Surren wie wenn ein E-Auto ständig neben einen weg fährt und das auch in der Nacht !!!!!! Nach der dritten Nacht ohne Schlaf fragte ich bei der Rezeption nach 🤣 die Antwort war eher ein Scherz für mich „wir sagen es dem Hausmeister, vielleicht muss geschmiert werden“ …. Also da kommt man sich erst richtig verars….. meiner Meinung vor, nach Durchsicht anderer Bewertungen wird das schon sehr lange negativ beurteilt, dann hilft die für mich mir vorkommende verarsche Antwort (entschuldigen Sie bitte die Ausdrucksweise) auch nichts von Ölen😮. W-LAN Leistung ist so gut wie nicht vorhanden. Am Pool oder im Zimmer sucht man meistens vergebens !!! Abendessen wird ab 19 Uhr angeboten, man muss sich jedoch auf eine lange Wartezeit vor dem Einlass und im Saal einstellen. Essen eher unterer Durchschnitt meinen Empfindungen nach. An der Bar im Hotel wird nun ein Toast für den kleinen Hunger zwischendurch angeboten, alles andere sind preislich gesehen Hauptspeisen - also keine Pommes, Baguette oder Pizza, direkt am Pool gibt es gar keine Bar. Und wenn wir schon beim Pool sind, stellt Euch eher auf keinen Meerblick ein - auch wenn es theoretisch möglich wäre - die Terrasse ist in diese Richtung mit Bäumen und Sträuchern zugewachsen, dafür hat man einen spitzen Aussicht auf den öffentlichen Parkplatz !! Ich sage nichts, wenn es ein „billiger“ Urlaub wäre und wir das billigste Zimmer gebucht hätten - aber so sage ich „nie wieder Hotel Malin“!

A very good hotel. The staff were service orientated and we enjoyed our stay at this location. The rooms were modern and extremely well equiped. Walking distance to some of the major sites in the area. The view from the balcony was stunning, however do not look to the right where you will see container ships loading and unloading. The noise from the port will require you to sleep with the windows firmly closed. But this view of the container terminal is only when you stand at the edge of the balcony and look to the right. To improve the stay at the hotel I would recommend that management pay attention to the food which was quite poor. The view from the restaurant again was stunning but the decor and food is a real turn off. Overall an good hotel with a lot of opportunity to improve - focus on the restaurant!

Looks older from outside, pretty good once inside. Very tiny room but clean. The bed was very small I offer to pay for an upgraded but I was told there are no vacancies. Which was not entirely true when I checked out early morning, there room accreoa mine was open, and empty. I took a peak andx and a picture. See attached, that is what it should have looked like. The pictures pictures on the booking sites are probably taken with a wide lens, it makes everything look bigger and wider. Good trick. Shower was another problem, no pressure and the wall shower head holder was so way high up on the wall. Not an issue for me to reach up to it but an average person will never get to it. My issue was that it was broken so I had to use one hand shower routine which I hate. Why don't they check ands repair these ahead of time? Parking free in front of the hotel, location is prime 10 minutes walking to the core and breakfast was good. I asked for fried eggs, only scrambled at the buffet, they made it for me. The shower ands the size of the room and bed got the stars down from me.

Hotel Continental is a well established hotel about 10 minutes walk from the bus station. I booked directly with the hotel and my standard room with a queen sized bed was small, although adequate for a night or two. Many foreign TV channels available. The bed was firm and excellent. The in-room safe did not work but as I stayed one night only, I was not bothered. I had access to a very big balcony from my room. The balcony is shared with two other rooms, but it seemed I had the balcony alone. The hotel’s restaurant served excellent food with lots of choices. Open air restaurant or in-door seating. Breakfast was delicious and varied and the service impeccable.
