Booked a room for 5 nights. First point is that it’s not easy to locate as it’s off the main road and down a dirt track, you will need a car to get to reception as going by foot especially in dark is not advisable. Having said that we had a taxi for 5 days for sightseeing so perfect for us but unfortunately no accommodation for our driver who sadly had to spend the night in the car. There are only 4 rooms all individually named and were comfortable though our room had no view of the outside. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room but breakfast did not start till 8.30am and was limited to S Indian cuisine, no continental option if you like your muesli or corn flakes. Tea or filter coffee with idly or vada or toast was fine and I asked for poha which was prepared for us the following day. We did not try the restaurant there in the evening as the food had to be pre ordered by early evening so cannot comment on the food. The views from the front overlooking the surrounding hills were great and the gardens were well maintained. Overall our stay was quiet and relaxing, we were only there to sleep as most of the daylight time we were sightseeing around Ooty. If you are looking for a quiet place with no crowds then you cannot go wrong w Staying here but if you want an atmosphere then look elsewhere. We liked the clean, hygienic bathroom with running hot water and the comfortable beds. The reception was not manned all the time so getting room service was patchy.
