Novotel Zurich Airport Messe Reviews

Our stay did not meet the standard we expect from a four-star Novotel. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The air conditioning in our room did not work at all. We carefully followed the instructions and kept all the windows closed, but it still could not be activated. When we contacted the front desk, we were first told to wait a few minutes. After that, we were simply told there was nothing they could do. No technician, no room change, and no alternative solution were offered. We were travelling with family during summer, so this had a significant impact on our stay. The room also had very few power outlets, making it inconvenient for a family to charge multiple devices. The breakfast was acceptable and offered a reasonable variety of food. After my stay, the General Manager replied to my feedback and acknowledged that the situation should have been handled more proactively. I appreciate the response, and I hope the hotel will ensure that future guests receive practical assistance when problems like this occur. Overall, the room itself was acceptable, but the way the issue was handled was disappointing.

The food in the main restaurant was absolutely delicious, and breakfast was great too. The rooms were good, the service was excellent, and the environment was pleasant. Plus, the parking was secure, making it perfect for self-driving travelers passing through the city.

The room was really spacious, and the location was fantastic – the tram stop is right in front of the hotel. Breakfast offered a great variety too. The price was incredibly reasonable, especially for three people, the room still felt very large. The front desk staff were excellent, very polite, and check-in was smooth. Everything was just perfect!

Great location, tram line just by the corner and train station about 8 minutes walk. Comfortable beds, no complaints. The appetizers are delicious!

We had an overall pleasant stay at Novotel Zurich Airport Messe. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, which made the stay enjoyable. During our first check-in, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. However, on the second check-in, the experience was less friendly. The rooms were not ready, and we simply wanted to ask if we could leave our suitcase, but the interaction did not feel as warm or helpful. Aside from that, the hotel itself was good, and the room quality was excellent.

Hotel is at the right location next to a train station, easy to connect to anywhere and their food is good

I loved the hotel’s location and layout, very close to metro just few steps. Breakfast was disappointing compared with Novotel,Sydney. . Overall, I was happy and would rate the hotel 10/10 but housekeeping I would rate only 1/10. The bed linen was poorly made from day one and was not properly changed or straightened on days two and three. Shampoo was also not refilled. The housekeeping team needs better supervision and training to meet Novotel standards.

Receptionist was rude. Coffee machine was not working in the room. It was told to take hotwater from the bar. But bar guys were like you need to pay for it. Totally bad experiance, it wasnt welcoming. Rest all good like clean, hygeine etc.

We need a night stay before our flight out from Zurich. This is a perfect location. Tram directly to the airport.

The hotel is away from the city centre, but there is a metro stop just one minute from the hotel. You can take the metro to the city center easily. There are enough paking space for guest who drive in, but the price is not cheap, it costs 21 CHF per day

Very convenient if you have an early morning flight as it’s a short tram ride to the Zurich airport. But it’s quite far from central, about 30min tram ride.

We really love the hotel. So convenient because in front of the lobby is tram station to go central more than 20’. Clean and great service. Breakfast have fresh fruits every day.

The hotel is nice and comfortable. Only downside is the waiting time for check in which was too late only at 3pm. There is an early check in for a fee but there were no availability. The location was okay nearby to the airport and they have tram services which was very convenient. Otherwise it was pretty decent

Trip.com did not inform the hotel that I had paid!  This caused a problem. The hotel charged hefty price for buffet breakfast and did not offer coffee/muffin or light breakfast.
