Element Orlando Universal Blvd.

International Drive Orlando|0.15km from ICON Park
This hotel is in a great location and if you are lucky, you can get a room with an ICON Park View (a view of the huge wheel next door). I used the BonVoy app to check in and it also provides you a virtual key to check in so there is no need to wait in the lobby to check in with a person. The lobby was clean and in order and the first room I stayed in was well-maintained and clean. I was on the 4th floor facing the back of the property and the parking lot and restaurants behind the property and I discovered quickly that I could hear conversations from the parking lot a lot more clearly than I liked so I asked to be moved. I was moved to an 8th floor room that luckily for me had a view of ICON Park. Also, I requested no-feather pillows/comforters and the staff easily accommodated that request in both my original room the room to which they moved me. I found the bed to be comfortable, the bathroom/shower was clean and functional with hot water and overall, it was what I expected. I never used to pool or gym while I was there and did not take advantage of the free breakfast. Additionally, there are several restaurants very close by and it is a great area for walking as you can stroll down Universal Boulevard and then up to I Drive or you can simply walk through ICON Park to I Drive. Although it was a nice stay, here are some things to note before you choose to stay: 1. This property does not have dedicated parking. You will be competing for spaces with everyone who visits ICON Park or any of the restaurants behind the property. Surface parking can fill up quickly and the only other alternative is a parking garage which is free. I stayed on a Thursday night, so it was not an issue but I have been to ICON Park on a Saturday night and it usually warrants parking in the garage. 2. The ICON Park view rooms are great but the hotel sits directly behind one entrance to the park and all the restaurants behind the property so there is a lot of traffic, some periodic loud music from cars and horns blowing as cars try to get back out onto Universal Boulevard. 3. As it relates to the noise from traffic, I was surprised that after I was moved to an 8th floor room, the noise was still as noticeable as it was from the 4th floor. While I was not disturbed by noise from other guests in the rooms next to me or from the hallway, the noise from outside permeated the room easily. I could also hear people in the pool very easily. 4. I chose to have breakfast at a local cafe I love, so when I left at 6:45am I was met with loud music as I walked toward the parking lot the left of the hotel. It appeared as if someone was hosting some type of outdoor exercise class in the area next to Cafe 34 Istanbul. The parking lot was packed, cars were circling the lot to find spaces and it was not something I expected to deal with so early in the morning. I am not sure if that was a one-off situation or if it occurs daily, but I would recommend a higher floor

Universal's Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Universal Studios Area Orlando|2.8km from ICON Park
Royal Pacific Resort never disappoints. Another 23 night stay and it was perfect. From the moment you step into this hotel you are warmly welcomed throughout, from the Valet Guys to the ladies who look after your rooms, everyone is so friendly and helpful. The resort is immaculately clean throughout in all public areas and our room was cleaned exceptionally well every day we were there. The King Suite is a good size, beds are very comfortable and bathroom products are nice. We always had plenty of towels and products replenished daily and turndown service were exceptional too. Very special thanks as always to Raymond, Marian and Andrea. The Club Lounge is a jewel in the crown of this hotel. The staff go above and beyond for you and welcome every guest like a friend. The food is replenished regularly and everything is kept clean and tidy. Staff are the best. Alex, Daniel, Raphael, Jen, Tory, Caitlyn, Kayleen, Trisha, Mitchell, Jordan, Hailey, Gia, Sophia and Tamara are all simply wonderful and we can`t thank them enough for looking after us so well. And the lovely Wellington as it is always a pleasure to chat to him. Bell services are wondefful and again look after you so well. Milton and Rob are two of the nicest gentlemen you could ever hope to meet and it`s always a pleasure to talk to them if they have the time. Samuel Martineau is always wonderful and at the front desk Katie, Cornell and Asha were very helpful and so friendly when we needed anything. Special thank you to Egle for her kindness. And nice to see Daniel from Valet again, he always remembers us. Orchids Lounge is another place that is always amazing. Ty, Colby and Mariella are so lovely and the sushi is among the best in the area. Fresh, tasty and original. Bula Bar was also a place we enjoyed this visit during some pool time. Food was excellent and the pool area was immaculately clean and the staff around the pool are very nice and again, make sure everyone is ok. The buffet lunch Island put on during the hurricane was also good and Elena looked after us well too. Tuk Tuk we used for the first time this trip and the food we purchased was fresh and tasty and staff were nice. The Express Pass is a wonderful perk of staying at this hotel, and the proximity to the parks is second to none, a short 7 minute walk takes you to IOA or you have the boats which run regularly and get you there in a few minutes. Royal Pacific Resort is one of our two home aways from home, there is nowhere better for us and we have so many reasons to keep coming back to this wonderful resort. The actions of all staff during the Hurricane were amazing. They looked after everyone so well and we felt completely safe and looked after during the couple of days it was around us. We were so grateful to Samuel, Jen and Sophia when we needed some help to change flights and extend our stay due to Hurricane Ian, they made the process so much easier. If you`re thinking of booking this hotel, g

The location is very good and very convenient. But health is a bit of a problem, and there are flaws in the room.

Rooms are quiet. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The view from our room was great as it faced Icon park. Didn’t have to pay as much as other near by hotels which was a bonus. In town for a swim meet at near by Rosen Aquatic Center. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay experience! 1. Excellent location, opposite the eyes of Orlando and Madame Tussauds, the tram stop at the door, you can go to Sea World, the hotel also provides a free shuttle to Disney and Universal Studios. 2. The breakfast is great, especially the ketchup is delicious, you can also bake the toast yourself, hot water, hot tea and hot coffee. 3. The room has a refrigerator, microwave, TV, air conditioning, two rooms with two bathrooms, good privacy protection, sofa bed in the living room, in short, a great experience!
