Hotel Posta - Palazzo Guidoni

Oh my! What a great find. All the staff and owners are so friendly and proud of their hotel. We can't wait to return next year to see the changes they make to this beautiful old coaching house. The breakfast was buffet style - cakes and croissants were so tasty! Our room, a double, over looked the courtyard. It was a good size with ensuite shower and toilet. There was a wardrobe in the room plus table with a TV and 1 bedside table, it would be nice to have a bedside table on both sides. Very clean room and hotel throughout. Fresh bottle water on request, either stiff or sparkling. Recommendations given for places to eat and we manage to get in to a very popular restaurant thanks to Leo, who was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We found it very good value for money and will be there again next year for a family event.

No breakfast. Front desk didn't speak English. This morning we wanted to leave our luggage and wete told they are closing the whole hotel at 10.30 am, and won't hold our luggage.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience at this place. The staff is unfriendly, rude and not helpful at all. We forgot something in the room after we checked out. We contacted the Hotel the same day but obviously they don't bother to answer e-mails. The hotel we stayed in after was finally able to contact them but they refuse until now any help to get our forgotten things back. Although we offered to pay the expenses in advance. We will never book this hotel again!!! Also the place itself is nothing special and far away from what they advertise.

A clean, spacious hotel in the heat of charming Orvieto, Hotel La Posta is a short walk from cafes, restaurants and the famed Duomo. We have stayed there 4 times and never been disappointed.

Price represents facilities Basic but good. The hotel represents the cost. No AC which we missed when booking but no big deal. If it was hotter, which might have been an issue.

Great old hotel in a perfect location. Lots of character and a very good value. I would note only that there was no air conditioning, and as is typical in Italy, no screens on the windows, so it was difficult to stay cool on very hot nights given that there are also lots of mosquitos. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, so overall a great experience.

Location is great but room is v basic with no ac or fan and terrible beds which gave our backs no support. Had to keep windows open to get some air and noise from street kept us up all night

Our stay was fine. My one learning is that parking is a bit far away, so if you have luggage -- stop right in front, take it out, then go to the designated parking.

Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Location of hotel was very close to city center. My stay was comfortable
