Hotel Oriental Express Osaka Shinsaibashi Reviews

The room is well-equipped, and the bathroom is spacious. The hotel's location near Shinsaibashi is convenient, being close to the subway. I'll book here again for my next trip. There are plenty of shopping malls and department stores nearby, along with many snack and food options.

Room is really small. Little space to store luggage. It is also hard to open your luggage. We have 2 large size luggage. When you open one, its hard to open toilet door and you cannot use the room door. 24hr Front Desk. Shower was good. Excellent water pressure. Basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner and body soap was provided. Although the organic scent was not to my liking. Water heater, hair blower and cups were also provided. Location is okay. Not too far and not too close to shinsaibashi subway station. Breakfast is good with variety of wagyu dish. But they only serve to sets of dishes alternately within our stay.

hotel and room was kept clean and overall a comfortable stay. hotel location is quite convenient, about a 6-7mins walk to the train station. and there’s nearby convenience stores around the hotel. as a solo traveller the room size was manageable but i can see why it would be squeezy for 2 people. washroom was also quite a squeeze but still manageable. there’s a on-site self service laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers available so that really came in handy for light packers. overall a nice stay for a solo traveller

The room was incredibly small, just like what you'd find in a budget hotel back home. It's unbelievable that it cost 2900 RMB a night during a major holiday. The location is good, but the front desk service was mediocre, completely incomparable to the Mitsui series I usually stay at. I guess I'll just have to book my hotels earlier next time.

Oriental Express Shinsaibashi boasts an excellent location, just a 3-minute walk to Shinsaibashi Station, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The rooms, though small, are clean and tidy, featuring POLA toiletries and comfortable bedding. The free WiFi and coffee bar are thoughtful touches, and the front desk staff are warm and welcoming. While breakfast options are limited, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. It offers great value for money and is perfect for independent travelers!

This hotel deserves full marks! It's very close to Shinsaibashi but still quiet. The Shinsaibashi subway station is about 500 meters away, and there are escalators to get into the subway. There are many restaurants downstairs from the hotel, as well as places for hair washing and massages, which is very convenient. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, the hairdryer was a Panasonic, and the soundproofing was good. It only takes 15 minutes to get from Shinsaibashi to Shin-Osaka Station by subway for the Shinkansen. It's also very close to Umeda and Namba by subway.

Great hotel, great location clean. Coffee is only available after breakfast after 10pm

This hotel clearly discriminates against Chinese guests. We had to go to the front desk at past 1 AM because they gave us the wrong room. While we were trying our best to translate and explain our booking details, the front desk staff just kept talking to himself and then walked away. We waited at the front desk for 5 minutes, watching him do other things. When we tried to talk to another staff member, they were very impatient and said, 'My colleague has already spoken to you.' They just left us standing there. I really hope my fellow Chinese travelers think twice before choosing this hotel.

The hotel offers luggage storage in a room with locks provided - very convenient. They also offer a free drink station open daily! Unfortunately, the rooms are very tiny - we couldn’t keep an open suitcase on the floor and open the door at the same time.
