The OneFive Osaka Namba Kuromon

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days with our family, but unfortunately, our room was not cleaned during our stay. At check-in, the staff clearly told us that housekeeping would clean the room as long as we did not put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the outside of the door. We followed these instructions and did not put the sign outside. However, on the second day, after returning to our room from breakfast, we noticed that someone had placed the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the outside of our door. We definitely did not put it there ourselves, which was very strange. What concerned me even more happened on the third day. The room still had not been cleaned, and I could not find my backpack. After searching for it for quite some time, I eventually found it behind the window curtain. I had not left it there. I really do not understand why someone would move a guest’s personal belongings and hide a backpack behind the curtain. Combined with the lack of housekeeping and the unexplained “Do Not Disturb” sign, this made our experience uncomfortable and confusing. I hope the hotel management will look into this, especially the handling of guests’ personal belongings.

The building looks decent and well-maintained, and the location is honestly one of its best features. It's very accessible to tourist spots, and I can easily give the location a 10/10. The hotel is conveniently situated between Namba and Nippombashi stations, close to many tour meeting points, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. As for the breakfast buffet, the food tasted good, but the selection was quite limited for the price. We only tried it once since breakfast wasn't included in our booking, and we didn't feel the need to go back. There are so many great and affordable breakfast options nearby, especially at Kuromon Market, that we preferred eating outside. One thing that disappointed us was when we requested a rubber bath mat for the bathroom. The shower and bathtub are combined, and the bathtub is quite high. We were traveling with a senior citizen who found it difficult and a bit unsafe to step in and out because it can get slippery. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't have any rubber mats available and instead suggested placing a towel on the floor. We appreciated the effort and used it, but a proper non-slip mat would have been much safer for elderly guests. Another thing to note is that our room was never cleaned during our 4-night stay. Housekeeping did collect the trash and replace the towels every day, but they did not clean the room itself. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for couples because of its excellent location and convenience. However, I would not strongly recommend it for families with young children or senior citizens due to the bathroom setup and limited accessibility features.

Conveniently located within walking distance to main Namba station via underground walkway from Nippombash station only 100m from hotel. Amenities available for self collection near reception but no coffee or tea provided which is unusual. Room bit squeezy although King bed spacious.
