W Golf Resort

We stayed for 4 nights. Pros: great location, right on the beach. Lying in the evenings and listening to the sound of the sea is always pleasant. There's a pool, sun loungers, and a bar/cafe also on the beach (it's all in the same area as the pool). The Whale Shark Swimming Area is a half-hour drive away. There's hot water in the showers and good pressure (after almost a month on various islands in the Philippines, we noticed that not every hotel has this). Reception offers excursions and mini-golf on site. Massage services are available. Pros: everything. Now the cons: terrible service. Even at the bar, you have to wait hours for food (for example, we ordered one dish per person and waited over 1:30). Cocktails, even simple ones, take a long time to make. The food is mostly tasteless. Once we ordered pasta Carbonara, but we couldn't eat it and decided against it. Room cleaning is only upon request, and that's not a big deal, but bottled drinking water is a real struggle. The surrounding area isn't cleared of trash. When checking out, we were given a bar/restaurant bill that was already partially paid, so check your bill and be careful. Overall: the place is good; if the hotel owners pay attention to service, it would be a great place.

The hotel itself is not bad and I could have really liked it, but the service is simply terrible. The first thing I noticed was the dirty balcony doors in the sea-view room – not just dirty, but very dirty. Half the light bulbs in the room were burned out, and it was dark. The rooms aren't cleaned even after you hang up the sign in the morning. This is the first hotel I can remember where they charge for water; they don't even bring one bottle a day. We went to the local restaurant for dinner and waited an hour and 40 minutes for the first course, and the next day we waited 40 minutes for breakfast. The pasta carbanara was disgusting, the burger was dry, and the club sandwich was okay, but hard to ruin. On the plus side: the room is fairly clean if you don't look at the windows; the grounds are nice, with a nice pool and a cobblestone beach, but you can swim if you really want to. Overall, for 5,000 rubles a night, you can tolerate some inconveniences, especially since the selection is limited. And there is not much place to eat nearby, so I would like to wish the owners to hire normal staff and make the hotel what it was originally intended to be, and not a hotel that no one cares about.

The best hotel in Oslob, with ample parking and spacious rooms. Spacious grounds and a large pool. There's a convenient bar on the beach, where you can also order food from the restaurant. Everything worked perfectly, including excellent air conditioning and hot water.

I think it's a Chinese-run restaurant, I'm guessing because I saw Spring Festival couplets, but there was no refrigerator in the room, and getting things chilled required asking the front desk, which was a bit of a hassle. Plus, the hotel towels were in the room, and I happened to get one with yellow spots that were disgusting. However, the swimming pool and the beach next door were very nice and beautiful.

It's very close to the ocean, and you can hear the sound of the ocean at night, which is so relaxing. The pool is also very clean. I highly recommend this hotel, as it's also close to whale shark viewing, only about 15 minutes away.

The hotel is ok for the price for this hole, but there's a club nearby that blasts music so loudly it's like you have a huge speaker in your room, so I don't recommend booking for more than a day.
