The hotel looks very nice and is 10 minutes drive from the lovely town of Oodorp. On arrival I and a couple waited for some time but nobody at reception. Eventually a young lady arrived but when checking in we were told that the restaurants were closed. It was -5C outside so I did not fancy a 30 min walk into town and I was looking forward to a glass of wine with my meal so I drove to an Aldi and bought tapas to eat and a bottle of wine. I decided to be sociable so at 1930 I went down to the bar which was a huge room but the bar consigned to a cluster of bottles in a corner. There was nobody else there but I finally did manage to get a small bottle of beer. Due to the weather outside, the vast emptiness of the room and the incredibly dim lighting, it reminded me of the Shining and I was waiting for Jack Nicholson to put an axe through the door and say 'Here's Johnny'. I returned to my equally dimly lit room and ate cold food in the gloom. By now the wall lights had failed so I was left with a small table lamp and the light from the bathroom. Breakfast was delivered from town and there were cold meats and cheeses but I would have liked a hearty hot breakfast before spending a day working in the freezing cold. I am sure that in good weather the hotel will be busy, vibrant and will have hot food and a proper bar but when I was there this did not apply. When is a hotel not a hotel? When it is a semi dark room and they forgot to put the radiator on in advance of my arrival.

Indifferent staff greet you on arrival. The room had a forgotten air about it. This room has a massive bathroom that was actually larger then the space the two single beds occupied in the main section. The small terrace was dirty with old dried bird excrement. The bathroom floor was sticky with what I hope was cleaning product residue ( I advise wearing shoes in the shower ). The shower head was clogged and only had minimal function. The towels were threadbare and there were none of the usual extras I would expect to see at this price point- no shower cap, lotion or indeed decent shampoo. The bed headboard was made of fake leather that has been worn through and not repaired / replaced. Plastic “glasses” and paper cups are supplied in the room for minimal deference to the needs of the guests however on request from the restaurant I got two real glasses to use. Cleanliness does not seem to be a theme at this hotel. The restaurant payment system did not integrate to the main hotel payment system which was an inconvenience and despite being quite expensive my hamburger would have been better used to repair the roads outside. I’d advise booking in the restaurant as despite being 70% unoccupied - it was “full” according to the staff. Breakfast brought a new set of terrors - the scrambled egg was burned brown and seemed to made from something other than real eggs. The boiled eggs were dark green inside and tasteless. I finally opted for a stale Picasso inspired croissant and coffee. I would happily recommend this to my enemies. I wonder if any directors of this company have ever stepped inside this hotel unannounced and experienced what they expect their customers to. The only reason it got two stars is that it’s a nice location and the WiFi was free and worked.

We liked the hotel and the location. Bike hire was good. But hotel below expected standard in several areas. Many food items run out at breakfast and cutlery/bowls missing. Dinner limited and expensive but good quality. Broken shower and wardrobe in room. FIRE escape hazard with outward opening bathroom door and broken wardrobe doors blocking escape route from the small bedroom.

Went here on a short trip. Booked a comfort room for three days. Rooms are clean and spacious. Do miss a few things: airco, coffee/thee and a small fridge. Rooms get hot in the summer and are not easy to ventilate. Breakfast/restaurant is good and with friendly staff. Hotel is located close to the sea yet in a quiet area. Enough parking facilities.

The welcome was really not warm; I think the lady had a very bad night. We had booked a suite, but neither the room nor the bathroom got warm. When we filled the bath, we noticed that the cap was broken and the water was draining away. Ultimately we had to move from a room where the bath was not leaking, but we were not really warm. The suite is not really worthy of the name suite, better book a regular room. Except for a double bath, there is nothing extra. Not such a positive experience, not worth repeating.

Very nice accommodation. You can go on lots of great trips from there (beach, Renesse, Middelburg, etc.)
The room was very nice, but very noisy. We could hear the arguments of our roommates.

Very nice looking hotel, well maintained and superbly decorated for the Chris**as period. It is located near the main beach. The staff at reception are welcoming, smiling and available. We benefited from an offer with. Breakfast and dinner for 2 people. The dining room is spacious, we don't eat right next to the neighbor's plate. The rooms are clean, well appointed as well as the bathroom be careful however, I think we were in an economical room on the 2nd floor without elevator... No problem for us but the stairs are quite steep, so be careful for some people. Breakfast is one of the hotel's strong points, with plenty of choice and variety. For dinner, we had selected a Spanish wine from the Fletcher vintage and with no regrets. Then comes the negative point of our stay... 3 young women (girls) take care of the reception and the service. We are kindly welcomed for dinner, the table we choose is not clean, we wait... The young girl brings us the cards, I point it out to her and she reacts directly. We order an aperitif which takes a long time to wait... Finally my husband sees our tray, goes to the bar himself and his ice cubes are melted in his rum.... He asks for more ice cubes, but disappoin**ent , the rum has taken on the taste of water 😞 The young girl notices that we have come for the drinks and brings us the wine, there, surprised, she presents us with white wine... After explanations she finds it and brings us the right bottle. The dishes arrive directly, brought by the chef to whom we point out that we have neither cutlery nor napkins... The meal finished, no reaction and it is us who ask that the table be cleared... We finish the meal by a coffee pusher, nothing to report for this part. We ate well and had a lovely weekend, we will surely return but what a disappoin**ent in the face of this poor management due to inexperienced and disorganized staff....

Beautiful hotel and cozy dining room. Unfortunately, the beds were narrow and therefore we did not sleep very well. The beach within walking distance. Delicious! Breakfast was fine, but the choice was not great, as you would expect for 16 euros per person. Service was nice.
